I have posted all I know for sure, but from knowing how the timeline of every unfolded last night and a conversation with A. N. Other, I would summise that the situation is the same as Crawley, its now out of our hands and up to Eunan. I didn't speak to the man himself, so I've no idea how he feels about it.

Matt.

Is O'Kane keen on it then or does your source no more than Bounemouth have triggered the 175k clause?

I checked, and was assured that so long as no names were mentioned, it was ok to release.

Matthew, you were told that in confidence. At least you were good enough not to reveal the source. ;-)

And no, it wasn't Aussie.

He was at the game. But he wasnt in the team which even before the game meant that it was likely to be the case. If there were no offers he would of played some part tonight.

Very strange, he was at the game tonight and I got a picture with him!

Why is the "Torquay accept an offer" considered news? I mean...surely that release clause means that we pretty much have to accept an offer of that £175k, right?

If he goes, he goes. He doesn't seem in a mad rush to disappear so I think he'll do what's right for him and his career. That could still be staying at Plainmoor

Not a guess.

He hasn't appeared at all in the friendly tonight either whereas pretty much everyone else has.

Agreed Rich, all Eunan is saying is, I made the right decision, nothing worse for aplayer than to sign for anew club to play for the manager, and then that manager to up and leave before the first ball is kicked.

It is foolish to use the word never in football, however think a few points have been missed with this whole Forest thing, Eunan O'kane was a player that Crawley could afford and who would have improved their squad, O'Kane would have been a first choice player at Crawley playing at a higher level.

Sean O'Drisoll has gone to Notts Forest where he now has 10 times the player budget and 10 times the expectation, O'Driscoll will now be looking for players who can deliver promotion to premier league with in 2 seasons, maybe first time of asking becaus ehe knows he will be out of a job if he does not get Forest up quickly..

Therefore its highly likely that O'Kane is no longer on O'Drisoll's radar, and if he is , O'Drisoll will only be looking at O'Kane as a development player, can't see him ending up a Forest player.
