Also why did the club put the catering out to tender as it would (if run well) generate revenue for the club without the worry of relying on an outside party to keep it's own fans fed and watered I would be intrested to hear if the supporters trust would do things differnently I think that they could really make a differance,

Can't get it through my head that bovril yes bovril is £1.50

I don't buy any food from the Popside catering outlet as I have a proper meal before each home game. I do however, have proper refreshment in Boots & Laces at halftime, then a shipload of refreshment at various other refreshment establishments after the match, that goes on well into the night / Sunday morning. (D)

Besides my entrance fee which I pay per match, I also buy a 50/50 draw ticket and occasionally purchase a matchday programme. Every little bit helps the Club.

If I have a winning ticket, how will I know if I'm in Boots & Laces ? And what about the crossbar challenge ? :ball1:

If I have the crossbar ticket and hit it first poke then I expect this : :bow:

If I slip in the attempt and end up on me arse then I expect this : :) :clap: :)

If I win the prize money and you expect me to buy you refreshment then expect this expression : :O

The problem you have is that there is only a 15 minute window to sell as much as possible. If you have more choice you have to buy more stock, you need more time to prep and if you want to be served as quickly as possible, you need more staff. Therefore it is easy to conclude that this will not change because you won't spend enough money to make it worthwhile for the caterer. Be realistic, it's only a burger at half time!!

I dunno, i quite like the chips.

There is a problem at the moment with only one of the two windows being open on the popside catering bit - this needs to be sorted out. Queues went up the stairs and down towards the family stand, im sure some people got put off or feared they were going to miss the second half and didn't buy anything as a result. Sort it out.

But yeah, a larger selection of foods would be nice.

I only ever get drinks from there, and on the odd occasion a chocolate bars or whatever. Never ever have hot food though - greasy, unhealthy, expensive and not even that nice!

It has always been rubbish, never buy anything really from the pop! Hopefully something changes, it's a job needing done for ages!

I have in the past used the catering on the popside,because i either did not have the time or could be bothered to get something to eat for me and the lad saturday lunch time.

However i found the service to expensive and slow,once i ordered two hot dogs and one drink,then after waiting for a minute plus the girl serving me still had not worked the amount i had to pay :) ,so i stepped in and helped,was honest aswell :) .

Now make sure we have something before we leave its chaeper and easier.

I tend to just get a coffee when I go in so can't comment on the food options, however would say that on Saturday there appeared to only be one section of the catering bit open - don't know if it was the same at half time?

This is another area where kids could be catered for further too, imo. On the rare occasion that my boys used to be forced to Plainmoor, at least there were 'kids' bags of sweets available. These days it seems to be king sized bars or family bags, or nothing. Have the days of Panda Pops and a 10p bag of sweeties gone forever?

Must admit, this has been an issue for me for the last 12 months, but as a new member, this is my first chance to comment!
I spent last seasn longing for a half-time pasty, but arriving just after half time it was chips, chips or chips!!
Catering at TUFC is obviously handled by an outside catering company, no problem with this but the availbility is AWFUL!
The last game against Accrington lead to queues leading on to th pop side at half-time. This can't be right, in a world where health and safety has gone mad!
What are other pop siders opinions?? :rofl:
