Good fight, wrong argument.

Wind farms are justifiable. What is entirely unjustifiable is charging road tax based on the mythical idea that giving the treasury a couple of hundred quid a year will negate the effects (if any effects exist) of the emissions.

It's an argument flawed in such a multitude of ways that I'm not sure which to attack first.

Matt.

Sorry Oxgull
Cant have that in Plainmoor. CFC's were banned years ago. They create a hole in the Oxone!!

Football is a funny game eh folks. Our fans have high expectations following the promotion season a few years ago. The new stadium created a buzz and new fans. We have lost around 700 of those through last season and too many draws this season. Some of our fans would like to see a new manager. I'm more of an optimist and like to see folk given a chance. Your message board is a lot more positive than ours - that's for sure. Hope to see some of you in the pub before we play you. God bless

Solid performance? We were absolute garbage. Shan't comment on your performance beyond saying that it's clear why you were relegated and that I think you'll be lucky not to go down again this year. Best of luck though, I have nothing against either the club or the town. There's only one resident that none of us likes...

Many thanks for that. It's nice to see a supporter who is willing to make decent contact with other supporters and break down barriers. I just wish all supporters would do so. it would help eliminate the spectre of Hooliganism which still pervades the game today. in addition It would stop non football supporters from tarring us all with the same brush.I have just looked at a thread on the Rovers site about the new stadium. You would not believe the vitriol put up be residents against the new stadium. A photo of a street in the !970's showing people walking down the street with nothing happening and portraying that this was a photo of trouble in the last few weeks at a Rovers match. it ain't on.This was the way a certain Man in the 1930's used photography to portray lies.
Also may I congratulate you on coming on here and not gloating about "that" unfotunate incident. Hope your season goes well for you all.
P.S. Sorry if i drifted off the scent a little.

Many thanks , things aren't quite clicking at the moment, our team certainly has not reached the levels of last season not to worried though as in martin Ling we have a good manager, and so far have only lost one game.

Agree on Aaron Downes the lad is class, and has added strenght to our back line.

Just wanted to congratulate your team on a solid performance on Saturday. I expect you to be up there come the seasons end. It was pleasing to see Aaron looking so solid. He was a great player for us and is a good man. I have always enjoyed coming to Torquay. Nice place and warm people. Always a result I look out for. Good luck for the rest of the season guys and gals.
