Does anyone know the extent of the injury that Billy sustained at Bradford forcing him off? I've heard nothing on the forum and nobody has said anything about it. Will he be available tomorrow?

Jarvo up top alone is entirely without merit, but it's not for a want of talent on Jarvo's part, it's just not what he does. Get Tommo up front with him, how wrong can it go?

Matt.

Agree with this. Not sure when 4-4-2 went from being merely unfashionable to a cardinal sin, but let's give it a go.I don't see it working mind, but the very thought of Jarvo up top on his own... gulp.

Good to hear that Billy worked hard tonight and was confident enough to continue wanting the ball. Ok he should have scored but that is something that he can work on and will improve. Effort doesn't need to be worked on but tonight he didn't lack it and he deserved a goal for his efforts. So thanks Billy and you can go out there on saturday and do it again because we're going to need you to. Credit where it's due and Billy gets some tonight.

Life for Bodin's not getting much better as he posted on twitter today that his car was hit by a bus... nothing serious though :)

Not me, thats for sure.

Possibly, Simon Baker, the chairman, not the Mentalist. =D

gullintwoplaces wrote:Just in case this turns into a Bodin-bashing thread once again after yesterday's debacle, I just want to add a plea for some humanity and understanding. Billy is clearly playing below par, particularly when it comes to the key task of sticking the ball in the net from good chances. I still believe that he is a very talented young player who will come good, but he needs the support of his manager, team-mates and the fans to help him turn this around. Yesterday was the fault of the whole team, not just Billy Bodin

I agree but he was awful.

I think if i had seen some of the home games where naturally we would have had more possession and attacks then he would have been a lot busier so perhaps i'm being a little harsh but like i said i'm only going on what i have seen with my own eyes. He didn't even WANT the ball in the games i've seen and we're going back nearly to the start of the season when how can his confidence be low when the season was barely a few games in.

Agree that Bodin needs a break, no point in booing him just get him out of the firing line and give him some confidence building. Again i have said that he is a quality player on what i saw generally last season but it's critical Martin now tries to get him right otherwise we could well have seen the best of Billy already and that would be a shame. I sympathise with his lack of form and lack of confidence but we can't carry passengers and that's how it is.
Andy, I think you are mostly correct. Poor form yes. Lack of confidence, yes. Unproductive, mostly. Lazy, just can't agree, I see a player trying his best, showing some great touches at times but falling over himself (literally, last week against Morecambe) before he can really achieve something. He looks to me like a player who is desperate to succeed, but getting increasingly frustrated with himself as games progress.

Sorry Andy on the point of bodin being lazy I can't agree, right now Billy Bodin is stuck in the middle of his own living nightmare, I already had my say on this thread so just little reminder, it is clear his confidence is shot to shit and the harder he trys to put it right the worse things are getting for him.

My message to Lingy right now is help the lad, take him out this situation give him a break, do whatever needs to be done to help him get his focus back wether thats on the training ground or just a big sloopy cuddle, because there is no doubt to me a fully confident Billy Bodin could well be the best player we have.

And to the fans in general just get off his back for christ sake.
