Same with Branno, If he had hung around a few more seasons he could of been a real contender for the legend label

CH holds a fond place in people's hearts, which is great, but he wasn't here long enough. In the same way as Tim Sills or David Graham.

Lee Andrews
Stevland Angus

one of these two.

No mention for Chris Hargreaves. Surprising as I'd probably go all Elton John for the great man.

I go back to 1954 so for me it is Sammy Collins for goals and Don Mills for class.

Legend - Kevin Hill

Stubbs according to my parents was a vile man. Don Mills was popular though so must be a close 2nd.

Seriously folks there really can only be one contender: Percy Mackrill

I agree with 'young' Stefano this covers the history of the Club and the two outstanding condidates are Don Mills and Sammy Collins with Dennis Lewis a close contender. I saw all the players in that era and I have to go for Sammy Collins as I believe he played more matches than Don Mills. Todays players to not stay long enough to qualify in my opinion.

1.Sammy Collins
2.Robin Stubbs
3.Mark Loram
4.Ian Twitchin
5.Don Mills

Well quite - except that I never saw any of the above play. In fact, all three of them had hung up their boots long before I showed up in this world.

You bloody old git :-D
I know tongue in cheek there SB so I will do the same! Of the 3 I mentioned I only saw one of them play (Robin Stubbs), but the whole point of an ULTIMATE Torquay hero is that the selection should span the entire history of the club and not just back a few years to when somebody saw their first game. Of course just because you can't remember on the grounds of not being alive at the time doesn't mean it didn't happen!

Old? Time depends on what you compare it against, but always remember this .... I have been your age, you can only hope to get to mine ;-)
