We need to want to survive if we are to do so and at the moment we are not showing any levels of determination. :slap:

Ooooooh FishGull ( superb name by the way ) :-D You can't say that on here as you are likely to get lynched. :~D

I agree though that he has had a shocker this season and he should say sorry but in a couple of the last 5 or so games Billy cannot be accused of lacking affort and heart but overall over the course of the season you'd be correct. :)

I make the following allegation:

Diamondgirl = austrianandygull

Both of them say "I told you so", and I bet both love Torquay losing

Come on, admit it, you are the same person

I KNEW Andy had split personalities

Ha ha made me laugh Austrian. Bit like Basil Fawlty. "I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it"

Don't say 'i told you so' on here diamondgirl. I said 'i told you so' and it didn't go down well to say the least, in fact James Blunt was more popular on that night than I. :)

I think i got away with it although i hope Scott still doesn't hold the view that i want Torquay to lose. If that were the case i'd be a happy man right now as we lose every week and not the usual miserable tw*t i am.

Don't like to say I told you so, but I told you so. Thread "Goal scoring...That's what it's all about"

IN for Braintree, FGR, Salisbury, Chester, Luton, Newport, Cambridge.

Torquay 0 Alfreton 1 could be a new addition for my Top 5 defeats.

Lincoln is ok, it's Mansfield that has the inbreds!
Too true Andy. No problems at Lincoln ever, unlike Mansfield where they really are inbreds! :~D

crazyfool wrote:I have fond memories of the Blue Square Premier seasons as I'm sure a lot of us do. I managed to get to more away games than I normally do and then there were the 2 Wembley visits. Oh and plenty of coverage on Setanta.

Things have changed since then though and I'm pretty certain it wouldn't be anywhere near as much fun a second time around. And I don't think we'd bounce back into League 2 within a relatively short time again either.

There's a little way to go this season yet, so hopefully the new man in charge will be able to make a difference and put an end to this terrible run of form we're experiencing.
I too enjoyed the BSP Seasons and like you say Setanta was an added bonus. It doesn't seem to get the same coverage now and in addition there seem to be far more ex-league clubs than when we were in there previously. Last time, I think we were just grateful to exist and there was a sense of optimism and freshness with the new direction the club was taking and of course, Buckle and all the new players.

It wouldn't be like that, if we went down again. We would be like Hereford or Cambridge - stuck there until people started saying that wE were punching above our weight to even be a BSP team.

It is imperative that we do not go down, because this time it really would mark the end.

Good point - but the fear is this not be the case much longer.
