I sent a tweet to his son sending the fans best wishes (as many have) and he re-tweeted all of them so I am sure our best wishes are getting through although something official from all of us on here would be a great idea Andy. May be the mods can set-up a best wishes thread then ask Andy C to pass these on to Martin and family if possible? Not sure if this is the best approach but sure some others might have better.
For what it is worth I have seen the rumours and like you said - glad they have not made there way onto here until it is more than just rumour.

Best wishes to Martin Ling, however it appears he will not be returning as manager at any time in the future.

Regardless as to what is wrong with Lingy - and you would be a fool to think its other than something serious - now is the time to rally round.

For us TUFC fans its nothing new, but for Martin it probably is.

Rumours abound on Twitter that people think they know what is wrong with Lingy. Also saying he won't be back short or long term. Any truth to it or just the rumour mill working overtime again?

And what doyou base that on? His record? That was shocking, hence his sacking. If he was still doing it, he is not any better than your average South Dvon League manager with delusions of grandeur.

A manager needs nous as well as commanding respect. Shouting all the time gains nobody any respect if there is no credibility to back it up. Paul Compton another example of the 'all I do is shout because I have no tactical brain' brigade.
