If a gull fan has a few quid they want to invest then great but no thanks to foreign owners. Only two reasons they ever invest, to make money or massage their ego, both of which rarely work out well for the club in the long term.
Worked out pretty well for Fulham.

I wonder if Helen Chamberlain could take the club over?

For me it depends entirely on what the billionaire wanted to spend his money on. If he wanted to pump his money into the team so we can buy Lionel Messi, then no, I wouldn't want that. If he were to invest in the infrastructure around the club allowing the club to earn it's own money and grow the club properly, then absolutely.

I also wouldn't want him to build a new stadium, but I wouldn't mind if it were surrounded by astroturf pitches which could be rented out, bars, shops and a hotel to earn money from.

Would be interesting to know how you know such things. Certainly the director that I know is the complete opposite to your view.

No, it's all of them. It's only one or two that are pretty close to being OK, but that is at best. They don't want the club anymore, most of them want out of it, Thea being one of them, only being there to protect the money she already put in.

I agree, I can sympathise with board tho, there is no real return for your investment (financial that is) in a small club. I guess everyone eventually wants their investment returned if things are not going so well...........but with so many clubs struggling who would invest in a club unless money was no object and you could afford a plaything.....

Think you have to ask yourself why you go and watch TQY and not a Premiere League club and therein probably lies your answer.

Remember Gretna ?

Not for me I'm afraid,, some rich knobs plaything? make it something it isn't then take it all away when he feels like it like some kind of magnified bateson. NTY

Could be they want to sell rather than seek an investor.........

I don't think its a question of the other directors don't' care more a question of they haven't got bottomless pockets !!!

Absolutely say yes to that. Sod all that Bulls**t about him being not being a fan. Job's would be far more secure, we would rise through the leagues, Torbay would benefit. No one who is local is going to invest in us because they don't have the money. Thea Bristow isn't wanting to put any more money into the club, the other directors don't really care anymore, sadly. So if it takes a non-fan to do it for us then yeah.
