I mentioned on a thread a year or so back that I remember being part of an under 1000 crowd for a league match in the 80's and it was confirmed at the time we had 4 crowds in 3 figures for league games in the 80's......so just when you thought it could not get worse......just imagine what yesterday's crowd, halved, would look like!

There is a strange irony to the fact that one of best attended seasons in the last 10 years was in the conference.

I guess a lot of the flouting fans prefer wins and goals over quality opposition

I see on the TV all the time a croud of 2500 (Almost)
when we were in the confrence we had about the same amount!
but as soon as we went to League one everyone started piling in!
4000 was the most i saw over that season!

Ive been to a handful of games myself! (From cardiff)
so train fare is like £90 for me and my old man!
Torquay know they can rely on the popular fans to buy tickets no matter the price, but some fans will like the offer of 1/2 price tickets!
When we played crawley town, a guy from japan flew over, got a good seat and everything, just to watch them lose 1-0 is that really worth spending money? For me no, but being from south wales, yes it might have been!

Basically i think we need to start making the better desicions on what we're doing at the club, get buckle out, bring a new guy, bring in replacments for benyon and wroe that can also tutor the youngsters like yeoman and maklin! then maybe we can start going up and get the fans :)

Anyone got predictions for the saturday game being as im very close to getting train tickets to pop down!
last game was at Macclesfield town when we lost 3-1!

Come on you yellowwwwws! :)

so attendances are likely to fall further then if last nights game was anything to go by

Attendances

Tuesday, 1 February
Saturday, 5 February

Tuesday, 15 February
Saturday, 19 February

Tuesday, 1 March
Saturday, 5 March

Surely these double home games is a great chance to keep attendances above the 2000 level

could have offered a buy 1 (Tuesday) get 1 (Saturday) half price?

any other thoughts?
