When was your first Torquay game?

My first game was Torquay v Barnsley in 1979. We won 3-2 and Les Lawrence scored a hat-trick.

When was your first game?

Year?
Who against?
Score?
Scorers?

etc

Re: Gillingham vs Torquay Match Thread

"Sit down if we've been ripped off!" (Remember singing that at Swindon away in 04/05) :) :) :)

Gillingham 2-1 Torquay

Not confident ATM

But do hope it's a win!

Re: Can anyone provide information on John Connaughton?

He made 22 appearances for Torquay and he was on loan from Man U in the 71-72 season but i'm not sure about the rest as startd to watch the gulls in 79. But I am sure other members will know the answers to your question.

Ah yes but at least he hit what he was aiming at :)

And even though it was a bad performance and we lost, we did score 3 on Saturday

Re: Torquay vs Bury Match Thread

You can see that we have just put our CM on the transfer list?! Manse should of been MOTM today. He had to play in CM on his own today. O'Kane is NOT a CM, we could see that he was out of position and had no clue what to do in CM. And in my opinion it was partly O'Kanes' fault for 2 of the 4 goals (which is a joke to let in 4) from being out of position, but we have to blame the woeful defending! It was like the teacher left the students in defence today. As soon as Guy went off it all went wrong! Ellis and Charnock not talking, running into eachother it was awful! Even though he scored Robbo had a shocker aswell! Kee looked quite promising at times, but I think he is very weak for how stocky he is. He needs to use his strength a lot more. On a different story, Wayne should be playing in the starting XI week in week out. He has the best footballing brain in our whole squad. He always looks confident on the ball and we need that in our team ATM. Also in a different story....Buckle.....please bring on a sub earlier, not just when the opposing side has just scored! Wayno had his bib off then 2 secs later he put it back on again!? Crazy! I don't understand it where managers say TUFC are so good away and we play like crap when we are at home!?

Ref and Lino.........? Lets not go there!

Re: Crewe vs Torquay Match Thread

0-1 Torquay! Benners to score.

A few mad results for Crewe, I think there all goanna be very confident but I think Crewe are goanna do a "Torquay" and lose by a tight score after good results.

Hopefully anyway!
