FA Cup
From watching them at Lydney last week, only one player stood out, their No. 11. Tall left winger, very tricky and could strike a ball. But then that’s against players at their own level so hard to judge....

Be suprised if it is at Lydney should they win. I’m sure there’s got to be a requirement for Turnstiles at this stage of the cup? Also, outside toilets??? Not saying we’d take loads, but Lydney are used to about 30/40 people turning up if they’re lucky.Jerry wrote: ↑11 Sep 2018, 12:53 Why?
Don't pay any attention to the capacity of 90 on Wikipedia, with fans just standing around the edge of a football field one deep I reckon you could get 1000 or more into a ground.
Lets's not pretend we will take vast numbers to this, 150-200 max I would have thought.

Sounds about right. 2 stands housing possibly 20 people each. The rest stood around the barriers. No turnstiles, car parking for about 20 cars.Plainmoor78 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2018, 13:35 Read your comment and went on Wikipedia, it says your ground capacity is 90. Is that a mistake?

I don’t kno whether to laugh or cry, is this the level we are at! Lydney my home town, and I currently play for their reserves.
Will be going to their replay tomorrow night, if they do win, I can’t for imagine for one second it will be held there. Surely be played at Plainmoor.

Can someone tell me what other football club on this planet would persist with a dickhead like Owers for this long!
Absolute travesty this club is.

You would think a team of 70+ years of football league experience could compete with the likes of Solihull, Guiseley, Maidstone. But every Saturday is the same. We are out of our depth, even at this level! It’s not a billy big balls attitude but we can’t compete with teams averaging 400 a game and players who work on a building site , it’s pathetic.

Let’s face it none of the strikers are the answer. Release the deadwood and send the rest on loan. Bring 2 newbies in and hope for the best, they can’t do any worse!arrywithanh wrote: ↑18 Nov 2017, 16:59 Bit like the chance he scored against Aldershot and Lincoln last season...
He may NOT be the magic answer but he is a surely a better option than the trash Owers has introduced!

10 goals conceded in the last week. I wonder where our problems lie...... ![🤔](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f914.svg)
If only our wonderful manager had defensive knowledge and experience![😡](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f621.svg)

Just a hunch but I suspect Yates was there scouting for Aldershot, who play Guiseley next.
Ex manager of Crawley, suspect he lives in and around there, aldershot not that far.....
As I say, just a hunch.
Seems more plausible then him taking over this shower of shite!

It's been a pretty rapid decline ever since the Ling debarcle. The club continues to hit new lows. Not long before we're bottom of this shit league again. This time there is no getting out.

Offer him the job now, don't mess about. Give him a full week to prep for Southport.
