Don't know whether this counts as a middle class "football" chant so here goes :
Direct me to my abode,
I am spannerd and wish to lie down.
I consumed a large amount of liquor some sixty minutes ago
And it has headed straight to the cranium.
Regardless of where I ramble,
Over hill, down, dale or road.
You will always here me chirping this ditty :
Direct me to my abode.

Re: When was your first Torquay game?
Don't remember my first game. Not sure if it was at the end of 64-65 season or beginning of 65-66. Was stood at the rail at the Ellacombe end to one side of the goal in front of the Cowshed.
I remember it wasn't cold and the sun was shining (back in them days Ellacombe Primary schoolboys wore short trousers).
Didn't see every full home game of promotion year 65-66 as "bunking in" was not always successful so had to wait until halftime when they opened the gates.
Fervent interest in football came during World Cup year 66, followed by the formation of Torre Trojans FC in 1967.
Sadly, the Trojans are now defunct but their achievements till this very day are still legend. Indeed, some players are legend with one even passing into folklore.
That'll be the Trojan called Arse.

Re: Fleetwood Town or Walsall at home
I'm pleased it's a home tie.
Weather permitting, it gives us another home game in November besides the Barnet game.

I'm back...
...been away from this site and the old one mainly due to the fact I've had no functional piece of kit on which to post. I'ts now sorted, have got a superb little notebook. Am still not computer savvi, though this is being sorted by me doing computer courses, starting with the basic ass in the grass beginners course.
