Re: Play Off guaranteed ?
If you do go up, I will be sad to be missing out on one of the best away weekends going, but it would certainly be well deserved and I hope you do it. And all achieved without the services of one of the most ambitious young managers in the game

Re: Buckle for Luton
I thought the bloke was an odious little twerp from day one. Having said that, there is often a thin line between success and failure, and had it gone better for him up here, no doubt many Gas would be lauding him as some kind of legend. He showed very little humility during his time here, and seemed to blame everyone else, for anything that went wrong. However, he did take some vile abuse at times, and I think towards the end it was just some kind of defence mechanism. Whatever else can be said about him, I think he can say he did a good job for Torquay, and, at the beginning, looked like he might make a go of things up here too. IF, he's humble enough to have learnt from his time at Rovers, there is no reason why he can't do well for Luton.
I would wish him well, but as stated earlier, I think he is an odious little twerp, so I won't!

If you all hate f*****g Luton........
Rumours abound that The Hatters have employed an ambitious new young manager. Could I ask of you at this senstive time NOT to flood Luton Town forums with words of warning, we'd like the **** off our wage bill !

Apologies in advance
My little lot are coming down midday Friday for two nights next weekend, so there is a fair chance I may be rather drunk. I apologise, profusely, in advance if I offend, upset or chat endless bollocks to any Torquayians- I will also endeavour not to puke in yer gardens- unless Buckle still lives down there of course.

Re: Last ten years comparison of TUFC and BRFC
Don't worry too much, it might only be 7 points, but it would still take a phenomenal run to make the play offs bearing in mind the number of teams we have to overtake. Add the fact that we still don't look like a particularly good side (just one playing with a bit more confidence) makes me pretty damn sure we are heading for mid table respectability and nothing more.
See you all next month!
PS. I notice you have only given us 1000 tickets because of the rebuilding work going on down there, and I really do think demand will be significantly higher than that. Were Plymouth given anymore than that, or were there a lot more Cornish wannabe accents in the home sections that day?

Re: Leeds Sack Grayson
Can we all stop slagging off Buckle please? At this rate he will never get another job, and we will be paying his wages forever and a day!Gazzableedsgull wrote:Within the last hour Leeds have sacked Simon Grayson after last nights 4-1 home defeat to Birmingham City. Just wondering who will be Leeds' top candidate for there new manager, alot of people around my area are suggesting Neil Warnock. Paul Tisdale's name has even cropped up from a few mates of mine .. We can be sure that it wont be Buckle though

Didn't you have an ambitious young manager too once? Whatever happened to him?
Re: Colin Lee

Re: Greeting From Bristol
For me Keith Curle lost his way in football when he left Oldbury Court Junior School, and was no longer able to call on the undoubted talent & tactical advice of a good looking young keeper whose name modesty prevents me from mentioning :~D
The100% win ratio of KC, Rex and Paul Heon take on the rest at break time was no mean achievemnet I can tell you.

Re: Rovers fans aspirations
I've watched Rovers for about 40 years, and I while I wouldn't say we 'belong' two divisions higher, it is certainly a realistic target, and we have been there for i would think 9 of the seasons I've watched them.
Anyway, now we are all friends again, we can all have a big love in in March and a bit of a sing song If you really **** hate him etc etc
