desperado I was at Plaimoor when we won 8-3 with Robin Stubbs in his prime. What a star.
This Saturday I think will be a good day and a bad day all at the same time. Good in that I go 4-1 to the Gulls but worrying in the sense we are still in Administration so there is still some uncertainty and the clock is ticking. Time is of the essence in these circumstances.

Taunton Town v Torquay United Tues 16 April KO 19.45.
United make the short journey to Taunton on Tuesday for a genuine 6 pointer and there is no doubt that in a wretched season for United this is the most important game for both teams.
Since March 2 Taunton have played 13 games of which 8 were Away Fixtures. They won 3 Drew 2 and Lost 8. Goals for 11 Against 22.
In contrast we played 9 games and are Full Time. In theory Taunton should be knackered and they defended for their lives on Saturday so we should have an advantage but it is wishful thinking as we are so low in confidence and Taunton won 3-0 at Plainmoor on March 12th.
One bit of hope. Taunton have lost all 5 of their home games in March and April to date conceding 12 goals and scoring just 3.
I hope Aaron Downes has studied the Video Tapes for these 5 games because it suggests Taunton are better away than at Home possibly because their pitch is bad but the away sides have overcome the surface. It is at least grass!
So to predictions. I have not got a clue. Our away form is pants but Tauntons Home Form is pants. Only god knows but we need a hero on Tuesday and in our current squad I can only think of Asa Hall and AJB who might pull off a bit of magic when we need it most. -1 is my guess.

It is looking like 2 from 3 to join Dover and Havant the 3 being Torquay, Dartford and Eastbourne.
As kevgull says it could go to goal difference.

Begbies Traynor Administrators of Torquay United.
CornishGull yes Begbies Traynor as a Company do have experience of Pro Football Clubs going into Administration but my question was whether the 3 Gentlemen Appointed Joint Administrators of TUFC have any personal experience in the past involving being Administrators of a Professional Football Club.

Begbies Traynor Administrators of Torquay United.
Dave I bow to your superior knowledge of Mr. Osborne and his business activities. However I would be surprised if a very substantial Corporation would plough money into a Football Club like Torquay United for 7 /8 years before giving up the ghost. I guess though you know better.
Mr Osborne has currently some 20 active Directorships and has been a Director of 30 or 40 Companies now dissolved in the last 35 years.
In 2005 he was a Director of a Football Club in the Bristol area but only for 6 months. A very experienced man.

Welling v Torquay Sat 6th Apr 3pm
Well when I look at our form it is shocking.
Starting on 23 Dec we have played 19 won 3 drawn 6 and lost 10 picking up just 15 points out of 57 which is relegation form.
Welling are top of the Form Table so it is really hard to be optimistic today.
Sadly I go 2-1 to Welling.

Begbies Traynor Administrators of Torquay United.
Torquay United have announced today the names of the 3 employees of Begbies Traynor who have been appointed as Joint Administrators of Torquay United AFC Limited.
Begbies Traynor was formed in 1989 and is quoted on AIM on the London Stock Exchange. The Company has over 100 Offices in the UK and of the three men appointed 2 work out of the Bath Office Simon Haskew and Neil Vinnicombe and Scott Kippax out of the Exeter Office.
As you would expect they are all highly experienced with 75 years experience of Insolvency matters between them.
I none the less wonder if any of them have been Administrators of a Full Time Professional Football Club in the past?
I find it interesting but not too surprising that Begbies have asked George Edwards and Mel Hayman to continue working at the Club on a voluntary basis while the Administrators study the Offers made to take over the Club.
In a Financial sense no one knows better the inner workings of the Club as they have both known for years that Mr Osborne has been loosing money at an alarming rate. He may be a millionaire, who knows, but he has allowed a £20,000 a week loss to rumble on for over 5 years. It is commercial madness really because Mr Osborne must have known a long time ago that his plan for a New Stadium was a dead duck.
I notice on the Government Companies House Website that the Accounts of Gaming International are overdue which make me wonder if his other businesses are in trouble.
As Fans, many of us for most or nearly all of our time on the planet, we can only hope and pray that the eventual outcome will be that Torquay United finds new owners who only want one thing and we all know what that is!! Onwards and upwards.

Taunton Town.
Yellow6 on the Taunton Town FC Website under NEWS the Club say that "Tickets bought for a previous date will be honoured" but it concerns a different match not the Torquay Match.
Because of numerous postponements this seems only fair but best to check if you can get an answer.

Jude-Boyd. Superb going forward. Great young man. I loved his Post Match attention to the Sponsers and Young Fans.
Dean Moxey. His experience saved us from a loss.
Stobbs. In the right place for Archers pass and perfect cross for Goal No 2.
Archer. Purely for his work to set up the opening goal. A lot to learn but has ability.
Halstead. Some good saves when it mattered.
