Re: Martin ling
All I care about is at the very least we have a competitive League 2 team, that at least tries to play entertaining football, and our attendance figures are around the 3000+ mark, with the club showing intent to improve and build towards League 1, it can be done by TUFC.[/quote]

Re: Martin ling
hang in there Andy, the nice men with white coats are coming, they'll look after you !!!!!
But it's lovely to know that I've been saved from the virus you describe so succinctly!

Re: Could get interesting .....
Ah well, that's all dusted then. Next time we sack a manager, let's hope we do it in a less controversial fashion (perhaps in a Travelodge?). Looking forward to more Club announcements this week with regard to the retained list, & hopefully news of our new manager!

Re: Could get interesting .....
we're not flipping nursemaids!!!!!!!!!!!!!If I could find employers like Wodger is describing, I wouldn't have been self-employed all these years! And yes, I was employed a few years ago & had a time of being ill & I can assure you that TUFC would have come up smelling of freesias, roses, hyacinths in comparison to the treatment that I received! This is the real world!

Re: Could get interesting .....
There is always the theory that you don't give bad news to people who are already ill. And obviously minds were changed if the intention originally was to allow Martin Ling to return. I still don't think that £70 k is a bad settlement. I'd swop!

Re: Could get interesting .....
I think that some of the supporters' opinions may come into play if Mr Ling dishes dirt. They, or indeed, the Club itself, may demand the right to reply! I didn't think that this situation was especially newsworthy either.

Re: Could get interesting .....
Well if you're on a one year rolling contract & you don't want to leave your place of employment & your employers want to replace you, I guess the only other way for them to achieve that would be to shoot you. This way , you get a year's pay. I know which I'd prefer........

Re: Priority period(for season tickets)expires today
The Club will probably make an announcement at 15.55 so that incumbent season ticket holders make a mad dash to retain their seats before the 16.00 deadline.....or not..... It's still not dull, even if there's no footie for a few weeks!

Re: Our next manager
I keep refreshing the club website, waiting for an announcement! Accrington is 83 miles from Sheffield; Torquay is 269 miles.
