Didnt go but listened on the radio. Feared the worst with the team sheets and the lightweight midfield. Sounded awful on TUFC radio and the co commentator could barely bring himself to comment come the last 10 mins such was the abject display in front of him. If you know you are missing some key players (Lapslie) why play the same way in the hope it will turn out ok. We miss Lapslie, Dawson and a CB or defensive shape suitable to the personnel. You cant blame him for injuries (although we seem to have a few early on in recent seasons) but you can blame Johnson for the tactics with the players available.
I am going Tuesday (largely because i already bought my ticket) but i fear the worst again based on what we have available, so soon at the beginning of the season (AGAIN!) and the arrogant tactics being employed. We shall see!

Dover Athletic v Torquay United - 3pm 5th Aug
Just watched the highlights. Was surprised we created that many chances, especially inthe final minutes and on any other day wed have won that.
Do need a CB though. agreed

NLTV to stream NLS games this season
Express VPN - works perfectly where ever you find yourself in the world. Other VPN's are also available but this one is easy to use and worked for every saturday 3pm game last season i wanted to watch.
For NLS / NLN, i suspect they are not going to stream them on saturdays (which is a shame) because i suspect they think their market is pretty small and the cost of doing so outweighs the take up. Few fans in other countries going to tune in and who is going to all the trouble on a Saturday to get a VPN (£12 a month) and then to watch Aveley v Weymouth. not many

Maidstone Utd v Torquay Utd Sat 27 Aug 3pm
If we’d scored 1 or 2 of the multiple chances created in the first half yesterday the outcome would have been very different and all the doom evaporated. Saw my first games of the season last weekend and this weekend and our defence is pretty solid, we seem to create opportunities but just not able to take them (or even hit the target - yesterday) We’re playing a few players not fit and several other first teamers completely missing. Might be a bumpy road for a couple more weeks but I’m sure Gary will sort it. To even talk of sacking him is ridiculous and doesn’t recall some of the muppets we’ve had in that position in the past.

Torquay United v Altrincham Sat 21 August KO 3pm
Not sure how anyone can point fingers toward the GK as some on here have alluded to. None of the 3 were his fault. I just cant understand why we were soooooo narrow the entire afternoon. Anyway, doesnt do any harm to get a real kick up the arse this early.

Very untidy and sloppy performance. My main concern going into this was Ali Omar but he was actually ok. Gave all three goals away 1) Moxey delaying delaying, gives it away. 2) Oconnnel 3 ) Wright
Alty a big standard side but giving these away in combination with no creativity, no speed of ball movement (even at 2-0 down), no width made for a frustrating afternoon. Can’t think of any chances created.
Woeful!

Expectations
Hope for play offs and think we'll get there and then who knows.
I think defensively we are light and would imagine there will be one more CB entering the fray between now and 21st.
Think it will be one of the most exciting leagues, lots of teams being able to beat lots of other teams on their day.

Lacking experience at any level!
Attitude and desire will take you a long way in life. Lets hope his matchplay skill compares to his obvious enthusiasm.
I watched his 'debut' but it doesnt count. Easy peasy versus Poole.

Pre Season
My takeaway from a trip down the road to Poole.
Kit looks slightly better in real life but not that keen.
Poole ultras (about 20) were entertaining.
Just great to be able to rock up at a game on a Saturday afternoon.
Lapslie looks busy, Ali had a presence.
Trialist B (15) involved a lot. Lots of promising positions. Trialist A (someone called him Jack) not as prominent.
The ball boy man was the busiest person in the ground. Forever going to get the ball, quite often from our wayward shots.
Enjoyable afternoon out.

I agree, them and Souffend, Wrexham, Stockport.
Is a great division though on the plus side.

Some of the absolute tripe being spouted on players going elsewhere is laughable. Its their careeer, good luck to them. Funny that we can wish players well when we release them(Buse) but slag them off when they leave and dont say a nice good bye. Get over it.
I challenge anyone to say no to an increase in salary for doing the same job in a different company, or it suits your lifestyle better to move or 100 other reasons you might want to take a change in direction.
I was slightly underwhelmed by the magnificent 7 but if were anywhere near the playoffs itll be a good season.

If you get a ticket great. If you dont, unlucky, go to the pub and watch it and save yourself £100 in the process.
This is quite a ridiculous debate and i wonder why people get hyped up enough to spend time logging in and writing a full answer about the......DOH!

Emirates FA Cup 1st round | Torquay United v Crawley Town | 08/11/2020 12.45pm KO
The most pointless of FA Cups this season. Football is nothing without fans and even more so in the FA Cup. So what if we got through to R3. Despite making a few quid, an away tie to Spurs, Man Utd....... would be horrendous.
If you can’t go, what’s the point.
