I'd like to see Yeoman start again today. He was the silver lining in an awful result on New Years Day, so give the lad a chance Lingy!
MacDonald has been very good, you can't knock him. However, Saah is arguable the hub of the defence and should always start when fit.
Craig in the middle or not at all. He's an excellent playmaker in the middle of the park but wasted on the wings.
2-2 for me (yeoman, howe) 212 gulls

Cheers Steve!stevegull wrote:Looks good, hope to see it improving the atmosphere at Plainmoor soon!
Waited long enough for these flags, production was delayed 4 weeks.
More 'topical' displays lined up, but on a week-by-week basis, it's a good set of 'core' flags to have.

New flags arrive
The big order of flags from Poland, funded by the Torquay Fanatics, has arrived.
50 50cm/50cm flags
3 banderi (2-stick) flags
Just need to get the 1/4in pvc poles sorted now for the small flags and 1/2in for the banderi but this should be done before the City game.
What do you all think?

Stay in the f**k ing middle, just like EVERYONE who is older, wiser and smarter than you is telling you to. f**k ing kids these days, do as you're bloody well told. Stop smoking behind the bike sheds and aiming to finger bang Mary Jane Rottencrotch (name the film), get some qualifications and a decent job. Do not stand down by the away fans, you're all ugly, stupid and about as tough as week old trifle. You'll embarrass yourselves by "taunting" the oppo fans, attempting to make believe that you might be the extras from Green Street, then sh*t yourselves when one of the proper, old school hardnuts (think SG on steroids) jumps the barrier and comes for you.
Stay in the middle, bang your little drum and sing some songs instead of trying to play up to the Danny Dyer (what a prize **** he is, by the way) example of football supportership.
Or something...
Matt.
Just to clarify, I am strictly of the view that you should remain in the middle.
A few points. One, you've done nothing but criticise the group and it's ideas, so to listen to you would be silly wouldn't it.
And two, the atmosphere's always better down the away end for the bigger games from previous experience. Maybe back the group beforehand if you think i'll give a toss about your opinions. Hardly constructive, is it?

Re: Ready for criticism
We'll do what ever the majority vote, which is a bit of a dilemma! People can't just not show any interest in the group and then decide what should happen. We obviously want to get as many involved and the best atmosphere as possible, but it's a bit of a difficult decision I must say.

Re: Torquay United v Exeter City - 22/12/12
Still debating what to do about Exeter at home. A few on here are saying stay in the middle, facebook saying go down the end. We obviously want to try and make it the best atmosphere we can, so whatever the majority think we'll do.

Exeter's ground staff are coming down tomorrow to work on the pitch as well. Game 99% on according to a source at the club.

Just spoke to Mr. Reading, groundsman's very confident that the match will be on. Pitch looks alright at the moment.

Re: Torquay United v Northampton Town - 15/12/12
Annoyed that we let it slip, again.
I'm not coming on here to moan, let's be positive. Craig and Easton were outstanding today, and it's good to see Danny getting back into things.
Thought the fans did their bit today in a small crowd where I've never seen the bench look so empty! Some of you may have noticed we had a big banner at the start saying 'say yes to standing'. Just to clear things up, that was backing the PFA and 13 clubs inc Argyle, Palace and Villa's idea to bring 'safe standing' back into the Premier League as well as lower league clubs. The likes of Chesterfield and Rotherham are now building all-seater stadiums despite their league positions for the inevitable that standing would be completely evaporated from English Football all together.
Disappointed, but bring on City!

Re: Ready for criticism
Oh and I did ask about the Three Little Birds Brooker, I'll have to get in contact with the tannoy bloke somehow because he chooses the songs, not the directors. Shouldn't be too hard though!
