Torquay United v Altrincham Sat 21 August KO 3pm
Is little captain in absence of hall, or is he captain as a condition of resigning his contract. Very disappointing today but let’s be a little positive, Stockport lost 3-1 having thrown what must be near a 2 million budget, Hollywood couldn’t beat Solihull. It’s 1 game, 1st day back at school. But as Gary states they have a week to settle in. There would have been some home truths in that dressing room for sure. I just wish we didn’t have Notts next up away, but maybe that is good in a strange way

Altrincham predictions.
Irrespective of whether we see this as a tough game/banana skin. It’s a game we should win. Let’s not forget our opening 6 fixtures feature Notts, Grimsby, Southend all of which should feature in top 7.

For whatever reason we are under the radar this season which is great. Stockport, Notts, Wrexham, Chesterfield have all previously gone into or near administration and it seems haven’t learned the lessons of the past. Only 2 will go which Will crucify those that don’t. Paying a Mullen £5.5k a week will not get you promotion. Likewise the money Stockport are throwing about. We just have to hope like Sutton did last season we remain a tight group and injury free, as the latter cost us promotion. In Johnson we trust, exciting the squad has not 1 loan signing

He has a private jet so won’t need the train :na:dawlishmatt wrote: ↑13 Jun 2021, 11:48 SuperNickyWroe, I've just been on the Internet and see there's a train that leaves Barnsley at 9am and arrives at Sheffield at 9-21. You will need to change trains at Sheffield and catch the 09-58 service to Bristol Temple Meads which arrives in Bristol at 12-52. The return fare is only £107-70

Well BT probably trumped them they had Collins as our goal keeper until they corrected it in the 2nd half

Undercover, not if you have a northern accent. Shame this game is a dead rubber. But if Wright is playing it could be pivotal for him and our chances of promotion .123Torquay wrote: ↑27 May 2021, 18:20 You’d have to go “undercover” but tickets are on sale it appears to anyone here

National League Wealdstone v Torquay United Tuesday 1st Dec 19.45pm
Very niggly game, we looked the more likely to score but final ball let us down. They are a battling unit Wealdstone and should finish top half. These games in previous seasons we would have lost. The best is yet to come from us and despite this we are still winning. COYY

GJ was right to be downcast and philosophical we where sloppy on numerous passes yesterday at the back and only McDonald’s great save before our winner and there free header blazing over. Having said this we played good attacking football and the final touch was missing. We deserved the win but we had to work for it. 3 points with a 10 day break before Wealdstone

Win when you’re not playing great is a sign of champions. Saying that Away at Halifax on a gloomy Day is never going to be easy

I guess they realise they can’t take their millions to the clouds. Good luck but seriously a mis judged investment. But hey ho if it keeps the sheep’s happy fair play.
