Re: whos the captain?
Quite right! Fatty Evans needs a lesson on this!Gullscorer wrote:Trying to influence the referee in your team's favour should, in my opinion, be regarded as unsportsmanlike behaviour. As should arguing with the referee.
As captain, it's your job to captain your team, not to boss the referee regarding decisions he has made, or might make during the game. Concentrate on playing the game, and let the referee make the decisions.
The referee is God, even when he's wrong, and he, along with his assistants, and nobody else, must make the judgements to apply the laws of the game.

Re: Any update on Lingy?
Yep it made a refreshing change to see a more animated & passionate approach from our management team!forevertufc wrote:What I fogot to say earlier, one thing I thoughly enjoyed Tuesday was watching Knill and Brass going nuts on the sidlines at players who still look scared to get over the halfway line , it was fantastic to see those two constantly encouraging our players to get forward and support our attacking play.
Something I do not think we have ever seen from Martin ling and his doughnut side kick Shaun Taylor.
Wurzel & Lingerie treated the dug out like a bus shelter!
onwards & UPwards

Re: Knill brings in new coach
Won't even be able to afford a "Taylor" for a new coat....... which could could get chilly in a Curling North wind - have to Buckle right up or stand in the Lee. At least it will stop you Lingering about!Trojan 67 wrote:This fight for League Two survival must be costing a fortune.
What is for sure, is at the season's end, Torquay will have Knill Brass.
I'll get me coat . . . . . . . .

Kevin Hill
From the Western Morning News web site:
"Tiverton Town have put experienced midfielder Kevin Hill in caretaker charge of first-team affairs at the Devon non-League club, following the departure of manager Mark Saunders and assistant boss Hedley Steele.
Hill has been on the playing staff at Ladysmead since September 2010. The Exeter-born 37-year-old made his name as a player with Torquay United, for whom he made 417 Football League appearances between 1997 and 2008.
Saunders and Steele stepped down after Tuesday's 2-1 Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South and West home defeat to North Leigh."
Good Luck Boy!

Lets hope he can ALTAR our style of play, providing the team are all singing from the same HYMN book! Lets hope he does'nt have a BAPTISM of fire.. or alarm BELLS will start ringing. Hope the yellow army CHOIR are in good voice to cheer him on? Maybe come up with a new ANTHEM.....
