Most of us will be scratching our heads to come up with ONE let alone THREE!
My 'vote' goes to Martin Rice ... took his opportunity well and at least (when I've seen him play) shows some bloody passion for the game.
...the majority of the rest should hang their heads in shame... to be paid decent money to 'entertain' and then only 'go through the motions' beggars belief.... most of them will sod off in the summer (hopefully) or be offloaded (hopefully) and then all we can hope is that Hargreaves puts together a team that will challenge at the right end of the Conf Prem.
I'm not expecting miracles, just (like Ricey) that the players show some passion for the game.... for the fans.... and themselves!

If you were the manager...
If I was the manager....
I'd resign.
...and take with me the likes of Hawley, Bodin (both should never be allowed near a professional club ever again). What a bloody waste of money. My gran can play better than both and she's been dead for 30 years.

Who's going to Southend?
Myself and junior will be at this one.... but for the life of me I can't think why!
Yes, in fact I can think why.... because it'll be the last away League 2 game I will see in my life time (I wish I was joking, but sadly, given our current situation it just ain't going to happen)... hopefully, if Junior lives long enough, he might get to see us scrape back to whence we came.
One saving grace is that the Conference has a fair splattering of south-eastern'ish based clubs which will make next season a little more bareable.
I've already given up on this season (like the majority of us die-hards).
Ah well, the joy (sic) of being a Gull!

ferrarilover wrote:Collapsed drain will have to be dug out and replaced, so if it's that (and not the record rainfall) we won't play at home again until it's fixed. That can't be until the dinner because of the damage it will cause and the time it will take. If it's the Bench, we'll have to wait until our year old, £2m stand is demolished and rebuilt differently. That'll take a year and £3m. Again, we won't be playing at home again. If it's either of these, we'll lose our FL registration and cease to exist so it won't matter what the pitch is like.
Alternatively, if it's the record rainfall to blame, we wait for that to stop and we're just fine.
Matt.
I have my dinner at 5.30....most nights.... should be done in time for Tuesday night then! ....

Shamir Goodwin
I thought I'd ventured on to the wrong forum for a sec when I saw the heading 'Shamir Goodwin'..... 'Sham' has been playing for my adopted side (Tonbridge Angels) for the last couple of months and it comes as no surprise that we have snapped him up (albeit on a month's loan).
As seen in a previous youtube clip on this thread, Sham likes to shoot ....and from range...and believe me, he likes to shoot whenever the goal is in sight.
He's also pretty skilful on the ball, attacks defenders and, as mentioned, has an eye for goal.
I watched the game at Gander Green Lane when Sutton entertained the Angels and this clip shows his goal in the 2-1 win. (Sham's goal is at around the 7m55sec point).

The Longmead* faithful were gutted to see him return to his home-club Brighton as he has been a shining light in a not-so-bright season for the Conference South Kent outfit.
I can only wish Sham all the luck in the world for his brief spell with us - and if it doesn't work out I'm sure Mr Tommy Warrilow will be back on the phone to Óscar GarcÃa Junyent to try and entice Sham back into an Angels' shirt!
