Strong drying S'wly gale force wind - no rain for a good while now.
Temp 13.4c

Pitch will be gluey to say the least but most certainly playable!

Ffs any news?

Brucie - why don't you take up the offer made by Mr Breed to meet up for a discussion - you might then be able to post something true on here to update fans?

That is .... if Mr Breed turns up!

A Word of Sympathy for the Current Board.

Whilst the current board have continued to make some pretty hapless mistakes, I'm pretty astonished at the insinuation that they are there to make money for themselves. It's certainly not the Steve Breed I (vaguely) know. Or does power really corrupt that quickly?
Come on, get real ... Mr Breed is a human being running a separate business as well as being heavily involved with TUFC.
He is not a millionaire as was Mrs Bristow - so if the chance arises to make some decent money then he will try to take it, as would any sane human being in this day and age.

Regardless of his pledges to TUFC .. and the end of the day we all know money talks today, as it did yesterday and will do tomorrow!

Nicholson Out

madgull wrote:Right, seeing as no one is listening to SG, I'll lay this out very simply:

You have £50 in the bank, this is all of your money in the world, and you need a new television. You spend on a TV from Argos.

Skip forward a few months. You do not have any money as you spent it all on the TV from Argos.

You decide that you no longer like your television. (For the sake of argument it's out of the warranty so no refund.)

CAN YOU AFFORD TO BUY A NEW TELEVISION??????????????? :@
It would have to be longer than a few months .. at least 12 months or possibly three years which is the length of the warranty I got on my £50 TV from Argos.
And if you dropped something on the top of it you could probably claim on your contents insurance as well.

Hope this helps!!

Torquay United v Chesham F.A.T- (SUN 13TH 3PM)

This from the Herald Express web page:

"Competition rules allow for both options, but if the scores are level at 90 minutes the tie will be decided today, via extra-time and penalties if necessary, rather than a replay."

Gulls leave Seale Hayne training ground

Brian Palk is obviously very perturbed and upset about this move - and knowing Mr Palk like I do then I reckon he has just cause to be.

It was Brian who oversaw all the drainage work that was put in place out at Newton Abbot racecourse, along with all the refitting and upgrading that was done to both the changing rooms out there. He could regularly be seen attending to work at the racecourse at all times of the day and week. There were portable floodlights out there, all stored in a large shipping container along with all the training equipment and a generator.

He has then overseen the majority of the work that has gone into the upgrading of the ground and surrounding buildings out at Seale Hayne - only to now once again see all his time and effort wasted as the club decide to kick another training ground facility into touch.

At their current level of football they should be grateful for anywhere to train on and as a poster has already said earlier, it will soon be back to Windmill Hill or Torquay beach when the tide is right.

Thanks for all your efforts Mr Palk :-D - even if the club don't see it that way.

Was Davey not sent off once, very early on during a match against Swansea City at the old Vetch Field?
Seem to remember him being shown a red after something like 10 minutes during a vital match.

Any memories DC?

Chairman's Statement

What has become of our Chief Executive Mr Breed when we need some 'openess'?
He used to be open and available on the forum but seems to have gone to ground. Please someone don't say it's because of the criticism he has received on here - he has very broad shoulders and must expect that.

As someone also mentioned too - what has become of Hargreaves and Hodges too?
Again, some transparency would be nice here and keep the fans informed.

We are currently forking out to watch total dross - how much longer can fans be expected to pay out each week with so little in return?

An intermittent carbon copy apology from the Chairman will not suffice, nor will KH stating it was his fault.

I suppose there is a positive side though, the players are enjoying themselves and smiling!
