Behind-the-Gulls wrote:Thanks Mr Guest! Looking forward to visiting Newport again. Last time you played us in the Football League was your ill-fated 1987-88 season. You beat us 3-1 at home and we won 6-1 at Plainmoor(Lee Sharpe got a couple) We won 2-1 in the FA Trophy at Spitty Park in 2008.
Good luck for the rest of the season-nice to see you back.
I'm expecting a draw on Saturday-2-2.Fully expecting Zeb to score against us(or get sent-off!)
we battered Morecombe and lost 3-2 missed several chances and gifted them with two own goals and a penalty against Exeter our defence was outstanding. zebroski been excellent leading the line does miss the odd chance though. we have several first team players missing up front but have two experience defenders back. last few years been a pleasure to watch. two Wembley trips in two years will be treasured and live long in my memory playing sides like yourselves Exeter Bristol Portsmouth etc you cant put a price on. 25 years in the wilderness so a warm welcome to all Torquay supporters enjoy the day enjoy the match. :goal:

NO generally away support 500 in stand and up to a 1000 behind the goal. last time I watched these two sides meet it was in Torquay you had a player I think is name was lenny Lawrence centre forward we give him some not very nice verbal's he replied by scoring 4 goals celebrating each time by jumping on the fence behind the goal where we were standing fair play to him.

Re: Lets sort this atmosphere out on Saturday!

Hi Newport guest here if you want to make some noise I recommend the bisley stand. the away area behind the goal although seated area is to open even when full the noise level is low. enjot the game it will be partisan as the Newport supporters behind the dug outs generally get behind the team. watch out for David pipes traditional taking his top off at the end of the game. he does like his tattoos and well cut body. still he does give us 100%

a warm welcome to all torquay suppoerters

Hi I am guest from Newport a warm welcome if there is anything you want to ask if your coming to the game or not fire away. its great to be back in the football league after 25 years, non league football is brutal the conference premier especially trips to Gateshead, barrow Hyde Tamworth, Dartford alferton await the poor sods who drop down, then you have the bigger teams Luton, Grimsby Wrexham Cambridge

a little bit about the ground pitch excellent condition, stands both sides the bisley stand for away supporters end of stand but good views, open end terrace behind goal for away support seated but open. I req you buy a ticket for bisley terrance better view of game, hazel terrace / stand for home supporters, can be very partisan and vocal at times all good banter tho. very intimidating for away players and manager county supporters stand behind the dug out.

:scarf: enjoy the game you will be welcomed :scarf:

What about best pubs for away fans-and the one's to avoid?
all Torquay fans very welcome have had no trouble for last two years with any away fans, pubs close to ground riverside tavern ivy bush artful dodger all pubs where county fans drink if your friendly there friendly. if coming on train a wither -spoons across the road from station. if your coming by coach / car then artful dodger is closest if you come in a bit earlier Newport town centre only 5 minutes from ground. plenty places to eat sub way, MacDonald's, Kentucky, coasta,s kings head hotel / pub excellent you can get food and drink in there.

inside ground bisley stand you can get drinks food etc. away end open but seated, best bet is to buy a ticket for the bisley stand good views of the game seated and sheltered worth paying extra £2.

have lovely day and a very warm welcome to wales.

he's been excellent this season, always putting pressure on defenders, has missed a few chances tho, at moment
we have our two main attackers out at moment O'Connor been out all season he scored 20 plus goals last year and Christian jolly out for a month. plus several first team regulars out Andy sandell, Bryan Anthony max porter lee minstrel Aaron o,Connor Christian jolly all missing the torquay game. but young players came in last week against Exeter they were outstanding

hoping for a good football match
