Torquay v Guiseley 24/04 (PP on 24/3/18)
Did not go last night but it sounds really bad. I have absolutely no faith in the management or ownership and will not be giving them any of my money next season. I have not attend much this year and as time goes by it gets easier. I am finding other things to do on a Saturday and not automatically thinking about who we are playing and how we are doing. Not completely 'over' TUFC but it will not be long. Sad but true.

I am no fan of Nicholson and I accept as a football club, we have been in long term decline. However, Owers knew the brief when he arrived and for this reason, he has quite simply, failed. In my view he will not achieve promotion next season or get anywhere near it. I will only go to away matches.

Owers has got to go. Has had the best part of a season to get it right (with an increase in resources) and failed. Any manager in most professions enters a job with the expectation of managing EXISITNG resources better with the hope that he/she may get an increase in resources or maybe able to change some personnel. Owers was put in a more advantageous position and still failed. He now needs to take responsibility and do the right thing, along with Harrop - fat chance!

Get them gone. How could they possibly justify staying? What have they done to improve our position? Any Board /CEO looking at the situation objectively would say enough is enough. Ah, but forgot, there is a five year plan so I need not worry........

Torquay United v Bromley 20/1/18
Bloody rubbish! As soon as we went one nil down it was all over. Players are supposed to be professional - well where is the professional pride? Harrop and the so- called management team, just leave. if we are to die. let us die with some self - respect. We are a proud club and NOBODY has the right to turn us into a joke.

Wrexham v Torquay 6/1/18
It's a very long time since I posted but I read the forum almost everyday. After listening to that excuse for a performance I have gone past being angry, just incredibly sad that our great club has been reduced to this. I listened to what was the slow death of a football club. Players are simply not good enough and management seems incapable of improving the situation. I'd rather have 11 lads from the SD league who would at least show some passion and drive. As soon as we went 1-nil down I knew it was all over.
The argument that it was such a mess when the latest two took over is a weak one. The two in charge have made changes an these have NOT worked. They seem incapable of motivating players. The assertion we are not crap anymore is laughable. If they cannot improve the situation please can they do the decent thing and.....

Next Manager- confirmed: Kevin Nicholson
I never suggested that he would not attend, simply stating my position.
It as not been an easy decision to make but I have simply had enough. There is no logic in appointing Nicholson (except for the fact that he may be unpaid - and for how long?). I further do not believe that attending on Wednesday will answer some of the questions that need answering.
I have attended matches and contributed to the players fund this season whist at the same time watching four regulars on the Popside gradually walk way from watching the club every week. Now I have decided to do the same - Cox gave me hope, Nicholson gives me none. I simply find it too painful to watch - If that makes me a lesser fan than others on this site then so be it. Do I wish the club well, of course I do as I wish all the best to the fans that remain.

Can Nicholson keep us up
Would like to think he can keep us up but in my heart I am not convinced. Simply, the wrong appointment and next season will see us as a part- time outfit in Conference South. The Board HAD to get this appointment right, sadly I think they have got it terribly wrong.

Torquay United v Bromley FC
We were awful today. For all those not there let me make it clear, Bromley are not a great side by any means BUT they were far better than us !! I really cannot remember a worst display of defending in 40 years of going to Plainmoor.
As many have said, 5 at the back does not work. All on the terraces could see this today but for some reason the management were blind to this fact. No change in formation took place when we were being hammered - why not?
No faith in Ramshaw an even less in Edwards!!!
Will not be there on Tuesday - I cannot justify £16 to watch utter dross. Admiration to those who decide to keep going.

Torquay United v Guiseley A.F.C
First the positives from yesterday. I thought Speiss, had a good game as did Lavelle-Moore and Hurst. The best Torquay player was Smith and that brings me to the negatives. I do no feel that the 5-3-2 formation is working and having three centre backs brings no more to the table than having two. I might get shouted down for this, but I would drop Exodus for the next game and play four at the back.
I do not think that Briscoe contributed much yesterday and on too many occasions we were overrun in midfield( when this clearly should not be the case when playing five). The trouble was that we found ourselves playing five at the back thus being short in the middle.
However, still early days and I have confidence in Cox. I am very worried about the attendance. Simply dreadful yesterday - we have lost several hundred of the hard core fans. I not sure its possible, but Cox will have to show some improvements quickly if we are to get back to the regular 2,000. If this does not prove possible I fear we may be in terminal decline.

Good first half and a poor second half but that's what you get when players are learning to pay with each other, Take the points about the ref- complete joke. On a more positive note am I the only person who thought our third centre back (Smith?) had a great game? The way he provided cover for the other centre backs and wing backs was great!
Still optimistic for the future.
