What Has Gone Wrong?
And what have both Liverpool and Torquay had ? - a sackful of injuries. And thats what both Man City and Sutton have very few of. People blame tactics, individual players, the management, lack of ambition/nous. At the end of the day if you have anything approaching our injury list coupled (with a pheripheral geographic position ) you are in real trouble. It's got little to do with anything else. How far with we can scramble back only time will tell. It clearly isn't going to be easy but it's not impossible either.

Good of Mellow Yellow to give us all the benefit of 'the constructive critism' he so demands a right to ! Could be yellow fever perhaps ![Hmm :-/](./images/smilies/arf.gif)

Torquay United v Hartlepool United, 6th March, 2021
I have never observed a Plainmoor crowd encouraging players to wallow in self pity !
Supporter sites are currently full of people telling individual players they swinging the lead etc etc.
Telling management their approach is wrong.
It's understandable to a extent it's been a really a horrible patch, but fitness and form are fickle - I do think we can express hope for a change of fortune.

Yes I agree with that. It's not going to improve anything calling for heads. The next worse thing to having an injury crisis, is players coming back seeking their form. These things unfortunately run together and frustrating as it is, there is nothing we can do about it other than trust that things will improve week by week.

He was slow and obviously his attitude was wrong. Don't see he would have turned our season back on. There are others on our injury list who would. We just have to wait and see whether Lady Luck ever returns from the Borough of Sutton.

What proof can you give us about these three 'shirking' then Brucie ? You seems certain you have facts so let's have them.

I personally don't think it's fair to label people with words like 'shirkers' on social media. You have no idea Brucie whether it's fair or not - it's a fiction from your mind . At the same time whilst I fully understand why Johnson plays cagey about injuries - he is probably the most cagey manager we have ever had in that regard- and that does lead to the climate in which Brucie's fiction thrives.

I agree with that. He is rash. Sometimes that can be to the teams benefit but not most of the time. He does need to learn.

13 injuries that's what gone wrong. Look at Liverpool's home record - that shows the same thing . Big or small club the outcome is inevitably the same. Aggravating, depressing, ridiculous, embarrassing - use whatever word but the outcome of that many injuries just cannot be avoided.

The Halifax Manager. He spotted all our weaknesses and acted decisively on them. It's no good Gary Johnson trying to be philosophical it's a time for some homes truths not just of those who played but also of those who are said to be unavailable.

Or perhaps nobody is prepared to move any distance away from the 'bubble' of their family and live in one room for weeks on end in a pandemic. I think both Johnson and the club are completely screwed at the moment.

No personally I would have a Division Three of the Football League. Some where for clubs with fair community support, real pitches, and reasonable stadia to shelter if they have a difficult season. Football is the national game. The Football League should strive for it to be represented nationally.
It shouldn't be a play thing for multi millionaires mainly in urban areas with egos many times bigger than their spectator support.

Our difficulty is surely going to be if we want experience it's going to be difficult. Who wants to live at best in a hotel away from their family at this time? Our peripheral location will make life tricky.

Can't argue with that United in Devon. Seems spot on. Far too logical for some of the Godfathers of the game who are on the National League board though. Hopefully the clubs who are full time will learn from all of this and cease being hooked into a system that compounds relegation from Football League.

Or by some magic throw of the dice they will end the League and conclude that a London team Sutton have won it....
