Wrexham v Torquay United Mon 5 April 3pm KO

Certainly if CLE is long term it's a real blow but let's see. Let's hope it's not. For those people who criticise the guy it's something we certainly don't want to run through - because no matter what their opinion - he is key.

Dover Athletic: National League club hit with fine, points deduction and results expunged

If they had been thrown out of the National League structure as they should have been they would not need have had a gripe with the League. I trust like player appeals punishment can increase as well as decrease? . No. Silly me I forgot they are a South East club and need it always seems destined to receive special support from officialdom.

The Next 8 Games.

Why for heavens sake shouldn't Dover be thrown out of both the National and the National South Leagues. ? If they come back into either and do well because they have saved money and everyone else has had to spend to keep the League going - what sort of message does that send out ? . Personally I think they should be only offered some obscure French League and then we hope it's a rough sea every away game....

Boden off
Law off

That will be you then United 62.

No I don't think you showed a lot of football nous. We didn't have a centre forward or a left back on the bench for a start.

Torquay United v Kings Lynn Town Sat 20 March 3.00 KO

We deserved the win.
We got the win.
We still have half the team out injured.
Boden is a National League centre forward and that's what we needed right now. He's no more than that but he does what he can reasonably well.

There are a bunch of people on here who seem to know very little about football.

Goodbye GJ?

I totally agree with Brucie here. It's so easy to carp and call for heads. What are these people on ? - it certainly doesn't relate to memory retention. There is every likelihood if that actually occurred - and heads did roll - we would simply create Owers 2 and the same result - relegation and the creation of Bath City 2. I remain convinced that if it weren't for Johnson, mid table in National South that would have been our destiny - season after season. That's not picking out Owers either. There were four people in a row who proceded him who were at a similar level of lack of success.

Maidenhead V Torquay United 16 March 2021 KO 19.45

Yep I agree.

Given our lousy form it's really surprising we still have any chance let alone being third.

The two fixtures we have just had were tricky ones let alone with the available XI.

It's all now about confidence. Let's be honest we got hammered tonight and Saturday is actually a vital game. An ugly win would be key.

So what are you suggesting Brucie ?' We play without a goalkeeper against Woking. ?

I know things are not great but what would a move like that do for team spirit.

You have already written off Boden. Rightly or wrongly he was furloughed by Chesterfield. He was always going to have limited fitness at this stage. If I remember it correctly you were the one taking Umerah to pieces after a poor performance.

Frustrating it certainly is but let's just wait and see what happens in the next month before we hang people out to dry.

Boreham Wood v Torquay United - Saturday 13th March - KO 17:20

Just taking up a point with my old mate Brucie about the Bath lad who has gone to Sutton Chances are much greater he comes from the London area and that's why I feel the City clubs are in a good position currently in this lock down situation and we are probably are in the worst. Yes players coming in aren't fit but to be honest it's only the desperate will travel down to a locked down seaside town and spend endless hours in the lodge. We are currently fishing from a very small pool.

I think lockdown and not being able to recruit is as big a factor as our massive injury list in all this and the name calling by some isn't going to change that.

It's gutting but look at the team. The spine is out and despite having so many players signed in reality we are only a force when at full strength. Look at their team. On paper they are a much stronger than we are - even at full strength- let alone now. We have had a number of their players ourselves and they were lured away by the bright lights of London.

What Has Gone Wrong?

I agree with Brucie here. Sutton are on a run of total jam. Before the run of goals in,the last minutes, they had a run of opposition send offs. Given that and the plastic advantage they are about as loveable as whining Meghan.
