Where is our home kit?

It arrived on Monday, unfortunately the away kit had already been registered with the league for last nights game so the home kit will be worn on Saturday

If the other sub is Chaney then who the hell has the dreadlocks lol certainly not Nicho!!!!

Glad to see Cords back on the bench (wait for the haters!) and that Kev has finally dropped himself too!

Just don't get it

Tarrboy1 wrote:Was just thinking that as well.

I make it we have the following available for Boxing Day;

Lavercombe & the new Fisher

Butler, MacDonald, Smith, Nicho, Berry? Butler, Gerring

Richards? Carmichael, Heslop, Verma, Murombedzi, Chaney

Briscoe, Wright

Not sure if Berry or Richards are going to be back fit or not.

Not much hope of filling the bench!
You are aware that Fisher hasn't even signed aren't you? I've seen no statement from the club or anyone official, not even a Breedy FB status, only word is from Fisher himself. Corderoy has been training with them all season and played in all the friendlies, I'd be pretty surprised if the Fisher signing was true. I expect an experienced no.2 will come in during January but Scott will stay on the bench until then.

Also heard Ajala is all but done

What do you call a brace of Fishers? (signing news!)

correct me if im wrong, but im fairly certain Scott Corderoy is ALSO a qualified goalkeeping coach?

and also took Fisher's spot at more than one club where they have both played. Seems very odd that people are happy to accept Fisher and not Corderoy when Corderoy has played at the same level and higher, albeit not currently.

I suggest that the Fisher saga is in play purely down to the mass of hysteria on social media regarding the way Corderoy looks as opposed to what he can actually do with a pair of gloves on, because along with many others, im pretty certain that Corderoy is a better keeper than Fisher.

It may well prove that neither are good enough at this level, but id put money on the fact that if Corderoy rocked up at Buckland, and Fisher was still there, Corderoy would have the number 1 shirt in no time

Chester FC v Torquay United

What a bunch of absolute toss pots!

Scott is easily the top goalkeeper playing at local level, nobody else even comes close to him! If you'd watched local football you'd know that! He's had offers from bigger clubs than Watcombe, the likes of Bideford and so on, but wanted to stay loyal to his club.

Scott has been on the books at Wycombe, Bristol, Clevedon, Taunton and even Perth Glory, so he is no run of the mill SDL player. Yes he's overweight, he knows that, and he is desperate to get it off and is working hard on it, but he's a former trainer here, from the good days!!! Give him a chance for gods sake!

His shot stopping and distribution are first class and if he gets his chance I guarantee he will give 100% for the club, he bleeds yellow!

The reason for Scott's inclusion among them? A leg-end is a foot - the amount round the waist he needs to lose
Scott was asked at the last minute to step in as both Veysey and Southall pulled out on the saturday night

All I can do is hope that this chap won't be Spiess's replacement. Overweight doesn't begun to describe him. But I fully expect it to be him.
He made a couple of top class saves that day after being brought in at the very last minute for Neville Southall who was so overweight he wasnt medically allowed to play and Kenny Veysey who spent all weekend on the piss with Gibbo so didnt fancy it.

Scott will be the first to admit he is overweight but since he started playing friendlies for the club he has already lost weight, and that can only continue.

His distribution is much much better than Dan Lavercombes, his shot stopping is also up there, but his command of his area and confidence are also big plus points. He'll need to work on speed and agility but thatll come as the weight comes off, which its bound to do the more he trains.

Nobody ever said Big Nev was too fat to play, granted he was a bonafide legend, but he was also the size of a house!
