New kit on the way?

Yorkieandy wrote: 02 Aug 2018, 17:22 The badge is utterly atrocious. Looks like it's been scribbled on in black crayon by a primary school child. The rest of the shirt however is actually pretty decent. The badge needs colour IMO.

Obviously the club must be reading this forum regularly given as the other two include one where you have to fart about registering before you can even read anything and the other where it's just inane dribblings by alpine joke.
The badge has gone backwards in quality from last season.

It's sewn on.

Its a different design to last season too, which although bland, it looked more professional and I'd actually welcome it back.

TUFC does seem to have a real issue with badges...

New kit on the way?

Orange Gull wrote: 31 Jul 2018, 13:00 Can anyone even access the club's website? The page just won't load for me, tried on both Safari and Chrome.
It works on my macbook.

But I've viewed it on an ipad and it's all over the shop.

The 'Gordon Oliver' Trophy

Naming a trophy after someone is a fairly innocuous, it's actually pretty irrelevant.

If it was referred to as "top player from 2017-18 in the Football Development Programme" as per the website, it would be standard.

To name it after someone, an ex TUFC youth teamer who became a professional - Mike Williamson, Garry Monk, Darren Moore, Lee Sharpe. Or even a local who went on to become a professional Dan Gosling or Ollie Watkins. Someone people can aspire to be like.

If it were named after whoever started the programme, I'd get it.

Or the benefactor behind the award even. Maybe Oliver is that person?

The mayor, who doesn't support the club. Some might think the owner wants to butter him up, to sway him into selling the land at Plainmoor.

I don't know, an explanation as to why it's named after Oliver would take no more effort than the 3 sentences the club normally offer up for official news and would clarify it. Its a decision befitting an O£bourne/H@rr*p run TUFC.

I'm not surprised.

The 'Gordon Oliver' Trophy

Very exciting times. A great addition to the football club.

Congratulations to those in charge. First a black and yellow home kit, Truro to play at Plainmoor and now the Gordon Oliver trophy.

Great couple of weeks to be a TUFC fan.

Truro ground share back on?

Clark Osbourne (Sic) via paddy Tinkler (Sic) has gone on record, releasing that as an official statement. Really?

So vague and unprofessional!

New kit on the way?

sgf wrote: 15 Jul 2018, 16:31 There is no problem. Some people are not happy unless they are sniping at the club. Saying the club should be ashamed for having black on the kit instead of blue is, frankly, ludicrous.
Black's on the away kit, no?

In which case it's irrelevant.

New kit on the way?

Football clubs don't generally retain a kit for 2 seasons anymore.

I've not seen anything on TorquayUnited.com

Have I missed any updates? Are the club just blasé about updates/releasing the kit for 2018/2019?

Or will the football club use the same kit for next season?

Genuine question.

Porky wrote: 04 Jul 2018, 19:50Couldn't be arsed who's leaving, they were in a failed national league team and if they can better themselves then goodbye and good luck.
Being arsed or not is beside the point. For the clarity, I want to know when someone exits the football club.

Is Sean McGinty still at Torquay? I know the answer, thanks to a link on here to Partick Thistle's official website, but if I was relying on our official source for news - I'd be none the wiser. That's sloppy!

I've gone off track, I've no idea re Dorel. Last I read he was offered a new contract and was given a deadline by Owers, who knows when that is/was!?

PhilGull wrote: 04 Jul 2018, 16:51 To be fair they have been very active on Facebook, I can't speak for other platforms but there I have seen a lot of info coming out. Granted I don't recall seeing goodbyes to players leaving but they are leaving, yesterdays news, f*ck'em we care about our own, onwards, forwards, never looking back.
I don't use facebook, the lack of activity I refer to is on the clubs official website.

What they say is irrelevant, As you say 'we care about our own' I just want to know if/when X, Y or Z leave the football club.
