nicholson for forest green
If nico were to go to FGR I would wish him the best of luck. After what he has done for us he deserves a crack at the top with a decent budget. Anyway when he was appointed it seemed like the majority on here couldn't wait to see the back of him. Should be careful what you wish for.

Money Money Money
I have massive sympathy with what Neal says. P!ainmoor is so much more than just a football ground, it represents the whole history of football in Torquay from before the formation of the present club in 1921. However I cannot see where the future lays in the present situation. The present board do not have the financial clout to mount a realistic promotion push. A community buy out would probably leave us a permanent non league club which wouldn't do the club's history any service either since it was founded (ie the club that merged Torquay Town and Babbacombe) with the intention of obtaining football league status. Our present is imperfect and we need to change our future, the Gaming International venture is a massive gamble which may or may not work out, but at the moment there is no other viable option.

Fan behaviour to cost next season
Lucy mentions the young fans being passionate. I remember going to plainmoor in the 70s and 80s when showing any kind of passion was excuse enough for the plods to evict you. I expect they would reintroduce their heavy handed methods if let back in. As for anyone feeling threatened by such fan behaviour, what are they doing at a football match if they hack it.
