Torquay v Eastleigh 13/01/2018 (PP)

Thought Mcginty was excellent again v Eastleigh and gave 100% . I will be very surprised if Bigger clubs are not queuing up for him very soon as he is getting better every week.

Ebbsfleet United v Torquay united 24/10/17

I was at the game last night and would reiterate what I said after Owers first game in charge, you have to get the basics right first and I saw the improvement in the basics again last night .
The team are improving every game now and I saw more confidence and composure all round last night .
Great to hear Ebbsfleet manager telling the truth , that we deserved to win . So , well done to the Manager 1st , then to the players who fought hard, ran hard and made better decisions on and off the ball . Every journey, no matter how difficult, starts with the first few steps . Great to see that we are making them in the right direction AND if we keep working, learning and fighting , the second thing the Ebbsfleet manager said will be right too .., “No way will they go down”.

Dagenham and Redbridge V Torquay Utd. A Saturday 30th September 2017 -match thread

I thought that Today was an amazingly improved performance all round compared to Macclesfield . I attended both games and to be honest , after Macclesfield , I was really concerned .
We looked sharper, more organised and defended really well throughout today , with all the back 4 outstanding up to the 70 minute mark . We then seemed to lose focus after 70 minutes at the back . This coincided with some substitutions from Dagenham . It felt like we thought our job was done , but it should have been , let's go again and deal and adapt with a different approach from their new forwards . So , a lesson to learn and realise that on several occasions this season , we have conceded late because of this . If it's 0-0 away from home after 70 minutes, surely we focus on a minimum of a clean sheet ?
Anyway , after having seen such a good performance today , I am absolutely sure that we will start getting points in the bag very soon , as long as we learn our lessons .
We will not be going down this season , that is for sure after watching today . So , tell everybody to get down to plainmoor on Tuesday night because I absolutely guarantee after watching today , that if we improve as much as we have over the past week and learn from our mistakes , we will be getting our first win of the season on Tuesday night

SACK NICHOLSON!!

I really can't believe that "supporters" would be discussing this issue 3 games in . Aldershot won 6-0 on Saturday and are playing good possession football playing out from the back .
Tranmere, Gateshead and Aldershot all have a core of players from last season , we are a new team with so many new faces . That doesn't help the start of the season .
We have to support our manager who never makes excuses about having to start again with a new team .
He is the right man and he will get his new team playing well together. We have to be realistic about the hand Nicho has to play with .
I believe he will play his cards well this season , so let's be fair and get behind him and the team and do what it says on the tin . That means support and encourage through thick and thin .

Sean Mcginty signs

A fresh start for Sean.
He will be a top class Centre Back .
He will give 100% and has learned from mistakes made at a young age. Let's give him a chance, be positive and instill confidence in not only Sean, but all our players this season.
Successful teams grow and prosper through developing their people and build on strengths without fear of failure.
That is how confidence is instilled and success is delivered .
