29 May 2021. Who will be Top of the National League?
Post of the dayOohahh wrote: 15 May 2021, 16:34 Luck doesn't come into it - It's the advantage of playing on an Axminster carpet with a top quality underlay. That's why we can have a small squad and our oldest player still turns out at 40. Oppo fans complain, oppo managers complain, but oppo players don't. That's because most of them train on it.

Torquay United v Bromley Sat 8 May KO 17.20
brucie wrote: 09 May 2021, 12:18 Quite simply your pitch is a low grade artificial surface.
One would suggest that gives you an advantage as you play on it more than anyone else. Also your goal difference is +23 at home whilst +8 away.
+ 23 is miles better than anyone else in the league. In general you don't look such a good team away from your home pitch.
Anyway if you do go up any perceived advantage will be negated as it will be more of a level playing field so to speak.
Our home and away form is almost identical and Bromley’s results are better away from their 3G surface.

29 May 2021. Who will be Top of the National League?
It was too easy for us today. Alty were woeful.portugull wrote: 17 Apr 2021, 17:19 Well Sutton needed a win badly as prior to today they had only taken 7 points from a possible 18 in their last 6 games.

I hope your team and management have the same mindsetbrucie wrote: 13 Apr 2021, 08:54 I think it will be extremely difficult to get anything on their abysmal playing surface.
I watched them play Wrexham on BT sport and their playing surface is a joke - this game just won't suit our style of play, as its basically impossible to complete a two yard pass.

Re: Torquay United v Sutton United 16/11/19
Our captain is still out and we have just one other long term injury. Otherwise a full squad boosted by two loan players - who both played yesterday.brucie wrote: 17 Nov 2019, 09:52 WIth all due respect to Vincent and Buse, they wouldn't be first choice midfielders if everyone else was fit. That's not to say they have done terrifically well though.
Didn't the person from Sutton state that they had a fully fit squad? whilst we are missing a shedload?
Any team at this level is going to struggle to cope with the amount of injuries we have at the moment. People have to be realistic.
