Can we Survive? 10 Games Remaining.

I think you also have to factor in our wafer-thin squad.Nicho might have been minded to rest some players for the Lincoln game, concentrating all effort and energy for the game two days later against Braintree. As it is he could maybe play himself,Chaney and at a push Hancox, and rest two or three, but he's really he's got very little room to make such changes.A couple of new loanees would have allowed some rotation without weakening the team significantly. The decision not to bring any new faces in makes an already very difficult task that much harder.

TUFC on ITV Westcountry

Does anyone know whether the programme is "factual"? Horrible feeling it will be GI telling the world how well it's all going....
It was filmed on Tuesday.GI refused to take part. The Mayor,Dave Phillips and TUST were interviewed by Jeff Welch, with regards to what's happening at the club currently.

FAT Harrop Threats

merse btpir wrote: 29 Mar 2017, 18:48 I did not see Harrop there last night ~ not to say he wasn't, just that I didn't see him ~ but I did see Bill Phillips and Brian Palk dressed like a pair of undertakers. They were soon engaged in conversation with Dave Thomas and when they walked off he came towards me and I just gave him a look of disgust.

Too close to the wrong people ~ Harrop and Phillips ~ is Thomas. Palk's OK but he looks a sick man these days. Not the first time I've seen them together at away games and pray to God Osborne's not considering Barbados Bill for the board.

If it hadn't been for pressure from this site and BTPIR; none of this statement nor exposure of Harrop would have come to light you can bet your bottom dollar on that. Keep the pressure up on Clarke Osborne, Bill Phillips, Dave Thomas and Geoff Harrop..........don't give them a day's peace and make them squirm.

By the way Solihull Moors have one Jed McGrory on their board who's been implicated in all sorts of nonsense with Swindon Town and Hereford United in the past few years.......another dodgy geezer!
He wasn't at the Business Breakfast yesterday either-Nicho chaired it despite only getting back at 3-30am that morning.
Surely a role Harrop should have undertaken? Dark rumours too, that the new local appointments referred to in Osbourne's statement will include former discredited board members.

Gates of 15,000 at Plainmoor in 1957/58?

No,Dave that would be Roger, who played for United and was a prolific goalscorer for them. Lots of people got us confused but we weren't related.
I knew Gareth-well if you lived in Kingswear as I did,or Dartmouth you knew everyone. Was your dad on the ferries?

Gates of 15,000 at Plainmoor in 1957/58?

I used to watch both but preferred watching the REC at Coronation Park rather than walking up the hill to Longcross and encountering all the Townstal ruffians! ;-)

GI the Death of TUFC as we know it

The freehold of Plainmoor is now going to be discussed at the Policy and Development and Decision Group meeting on 26th April-three days before the last game of the season.GI are putting it out there that they will only invest in the club if they get the freehold and the Council show a willingness to work with them on their proposals for the future(whatever they are).

PLAINMOOR FOR SALE?

gullpower wrote: I hope this postponement is down to the fuss we have been making. After sending several emails this morning I rang the council asking how I could make a written representation at the meeting. The young secretary didn't have much of a clue, tried to speak to an officer but she was in a meeting and was supposed to ring me back but it never happened.
That was my experience too-no response to emails I've sent on the same topic as you.Total incompetence from the Council and according to Adrian Sanders the Officers in denial about any contact between club and council/mayor on the issue.

Restrictive Covenant on Plainmoor

I believe the Council would be duty bound to include a covenant as part of any deal;such a covenant would have to include the existing restricted user clause.
