First pre season games announced
Away at Buckland 12th July and home to Exeter 30th July.
What a pleasure it is to see professionals running our club after the nightmare years. Must admit I was quite low a couple of weeks ago. But the last 10 days have given me so much confidence. Thanks to Bryn and Neil Warnock. Can't wait for the season to begin now.

Bryn Consortium Take-Over
Did anyone listen to Radio Devon who interviewed Michael Westcott at 2pm today? My take
Debts owed a six figure sum.
Sitting with the TUST Monday to allow supporters to acquire a share of the club.
Neil Warnock on the board as the football advisor.
National league believe Torquay will have the highest playing budget in the national league south.
Not decided on full or part time as yet.
Close to appointing a new manager possibly by tuesday.
Very encouraging and to me he appears to be a sound man

Must say I'm delighted. Lets all get fully behind Bryn. Thanks very much Bryn for all the hard work done in such a short time. I really doubted you could get this done in time. You can count on me putting my hand in my pocket.

Such very sad news. Thanks for the happy memories Paul.

Braintree Town promoted to the National league.
Realistically the season is all about getting a team up and running and staying in this division. We only have 4 weeks to produce a pre season budget to satisfy the league. Getting the right manager in who understands how to build a team at this level is a priority for me.
I must admit though you are right. Promotion will be difficult. I'm still hoping we can afford 5 or 6 experienced professionals????? But maybe not this season? I must admit to feel rather deflated by the thought of being part time. The fans could do with a boost.

Beating Worthing in the final. Semi professional with a small squad and home attendances of around 800. Congratulations to them.
If they can do it, so can Torquay.

Potential Buyers
Not sure what to think until we know their intentions. Part time/full time? Ambitions of the football league as mentioned or was that a different bidder?
But at least we are moving forward now and we can ditch all the rumours.

I would say Brackleys recent record of getting to finals is well earned and I hope they go up. Shows what can be done with crowds of 780 and just how piss poor we have been as a club. My bigger club comment was tongue in cheek.

I also see that Brackley town are finalists again in the northern final. They have punched way above their weight recently. Small ground with crowds averaging 780 this season.
Lost in the final last year. Playoffs 2022. Finalist 2021 and FA trophy winners 2018.
We could learn something from these teams. Think they deserve a chance in the national league.
Andy Woodman at Bromley would make a fine Torquay United manager. If Bromley lose the final and he wants a bigger club.
