To me he looked like a fish out of water, game seemed to pass by him and he never really got a sniff.MellowYellow wrote: ↑23 Jul 2017, 18:53 Did not go to the match and wondering if anyone who did had any comment on trialist midfielder Sean Downing who came on in the second half. I think he plays for Bideford. If he is one of the same then a few seasons ago he was even in lower leagues playing for Appledore,

Wemouth v Torquay
A bit of a quiet game today, other than the goal I can't really tell you what happened but it's another 70 mins or so for the players so can't complain. Thought Weymouth were a good side, well drilled and well structured.
Anyone know about Davis' injury? I'm just worried we've only got 2 pre season games left and he hasn't played a minute.

TUFC 2017/18 Squad
The squad is slowing coming together, need another winger and possibly a full back for cover but Chaney could be that person. I never thought I would say that!!
Didn't exactly set the world alight but he was steady and I don't feel he was really out of his depth in any way.

Such moronic behaviour, I wish tools like that would leave their 'hooliganism' back in the past where it belongs. I have never understood some people's need to be aggressive towards other fans, after all it is just a game!Yorkieandy wrote: ↑20 Jul 2017, 14:07 Up at here at York..........................................ok, i'll get me coat.
Anyway, do they even use computers in Barrow? I know they like to hurl rocks at opposing teams supporters coaches with disabled fans inside up there. Must be all those fingers.

Rory Fallon
His name is Ollie Watkins Tomogulltomogull wrote: ↑19 Jul 2017, 16:19 Fully agree with you on this. According to wiki, he played 16 games for Truro last season and failed to score. I think that tells its own story. If I remember rightly, he didn't leave by choice - his contract was terminated, although I'm not 100% sure on that score. Even Karl Hawley managed three goals when he played for us and Shaun Harrad managed two (in the two seasons he was on United's books).
I'm still interested in the Ryan Brunt situation. He's been training with Exeter but as far as I know, he hasn't been offered a contract yet. I think he would be ideal. However, I see that their top scorer - the lad from Newton Abbot (I sooo wish I could remember names !) could be moving to Brentford so Tisdale could see Brunt as a shoe-in replacement. As for Fallon - as posted elsewhere - NO !!!! Surely, there must be young strikers out there who could be brought in on loan and would be a much better option than a past-it 35/36 year old. In my opinion, signing Fallon would be a waste of the pot of money that Nicholson has been given to bring in players.

Majority of the side they played will be in and around the first 11, the first goal was unstoppable and the second one was after we made several changes and the game had lost all zip. We hit the post and the bar so could've easily, been 2-2 which is easy to say I know but to say 'get real' is a bit much, we played very good football in spells but they are a better side and proved as much.threelittlepiglets wrote: ↑18 Jul 2017, 22:02 We matched a league one side?? Only 6 of those Plymouth players at the very most are likely to figure in the first team senior, also we did lose 2-0 and they missed a penalty... get real!

First half we played well Gosling was going past players for fun Keating was chasing every ball and Gray was aggressive and constantly hassling the Argyle back line. Our back four was a bit shaky at times but with 2 players playing out of position, Chaney and Klukowski, that would be expected at times.
We matched what is a League 1 side for most of the game and although as much as I hate losing to Argyle the result isn't important.
I felt Higgins didn't perform very well tonight, he didn't give much going forward and he wasn't the best defensively. Could've gave away a penalty with a stupid diving in tackle and what do you know 5 mins later and he's given away a penalty for the same tackle.
Both Rory Fallon and Odubade were anonymous except for 1 shot by Odubade. As said earlier on the thread, Fallon is bottom of the barrel stuff it really is. We don't need an old fashion target man necessarily just somebody who can hold the ball.
On a lighter note, it was a lovely evening over Plainmoor.

Realistically he would be cover for Higgins dependant if Higgins plays well of course. Lee's career may stall if he is sat on the bench where if he was back at Bournemouth U23's at least he would be playing, even if it was in Premier League 2, or whatever they call the reserves league nowadays.

Happy with this, every game he's played he's scored irregardless of the opposition. Also gives Keating and JP a bit of competition, something we lacked at times last year

Don't get me wrong, I find his Barrow posts annoying but to say those kind of things, whether you're joking or not is completely uncalled for.smw1989 wrote: ↑16 Jul 2017, 07:41 Barrow will get relegated after Cox leaves in January... Ray will suffer a heart attack around November therefore spending more time at home and more time on this forum... we will all devise a plan to get him kicked off, admin will finally ban him and in February after the news of Cox's departure coupled with the news that Ray himself has been banned from all EFL clubs forums along with the National league he will most likely commit suicide, to which nobody will turn up to his funeral...
