Attendances
I know it was a cup game against a local rival from a higher league, (about the same distance as Torquay to Exeter), but Stockport got over 10,000 in attendance last night, for a televised match. With about 1500 being Bolton fans, that means Stockport's support exceeded 8,500. Fantastic achievement for a club at our level, and shows the potential of the club. We haven't seen attendances at Plainmoor like that since the 1970's. If only we could!

We could always borrow some players from Exeter. They seem to have too many at the moment, as they managed to use 6 substitutes in the cup on Tuesday night. :rules: =D

Armani is not the first, and will definitely not be the last, to get booed by his own teams fans. If he treats it, like water off a duck's back, and carries on playing the way he does, I am sure even his most robust critic will eventually come around and see him for the wonderful player he is. Just look at how we struggle when he is unavailable. I recall when Terry Venables took over at Spurs in the 80's, he signed Terry Fenwick. He was certainly not the most popular player in the side, frequently getting booed. His response? When he scored a goal, he ran over to the Shelf area, which was empty due to rebuilding, and celebrated wildly, completely ignoring the other 3 sides of the ground. Sheer Class! No more booing after that!

Dover are no worse than a mid-table NLS team would be, and we can't even beat one of them in 2 games. Not the end of the world if we don't win, disappointing, yes, but it is Tufc we support, no matter what results come our way.Bristol_Gull wrote: ↑12 Nov 2021, 22:13 After 2 weeks without a game, SURELY we have a fit squad!
If we can’t beat Dover at home I’m going to temporarily switch my loyalty to Bristol City for the rest of the season after supporting Torquay for close to 33 years from 5 years old!!
So off you go, nobody will miss you. We don't need any more fair weather supporters.

2 Weeks to Work on Set Pieces.
That was 50 years ago. Has it been that long since we were able to do something similar? :~DWolborough wrote: ↑31 Oct 2021, 16:19 Ah yes, Mickey Cave long throw in, Jimmy Dunne deft back header on edge of box, Alan Welsh stonker into the net. We could try a combination of Moxey, Lewis and Armstrong !

I see Luke Young came on for the last couple of minutes for Wrexham. Is he on his way back from injury, or have his performances dropped that much, since leaving us? Surely he is better than just a squad player.

A weekend off! Will that be enough for the injuries to recover? Can we not have 5 weekends off? Then we might be able to field a stronger team.

I thought 2,500 was rather high considering recent performances.1k freebies explains!culmstockgull wrote: ↑23 Oct 2021, 18:33 . If the figures are correct by my reckoning we only had 1480 regular supporters today if you take away the away supporters and the 1000 freebies.

Thanks! Also, purely selfishly I would like Eastbourne/Horsham, or Hastings away. Not too far to travel!

Is the draw on Talksport, as in previous years? Do not seem to find any information on FA, TUFC, or Talksport websites!

He used us as game time in recovering from injury, obviously wouldn't have been at peak fitness when he was here.
