Altrincham predictions.

Chris B wrote: 21 Aug 2021, 08:57 1-1, Wright

Altrincham were one of the top 3 sides to visit Plainmoor last season, played some really tidy football and deserved their win. Colclough looked a handful that night, and is perhaps the type of winger we're missing.
Good to read a post from someone not wearing rose tinted glasses :keepie:

Ex-Gull watch

United62 wrote: 15 Aug 2021, 13:39 I was at the Kuflink Stadium yesterday to watch the Angels' opening game of the season - it really was men against boys and could so easily have been 7 or 8 nil at the break to a full-time Gravesend and Northfleet side who will be up their challenging for the NLS title come the end of the season.

Romain really didn't have to do anything at all when he came on as the game had already been won at a canter in the first half. From what I've seen of the Angels in pre-season and yesterday's showing, I can guarantee that they won't be bothering the play-offs.
I see that Ebbsfleet have a squad of 24 players, a luxury not all clubs can afford. They must be one of the favourites for their league, along with Maidstone and Dartford. I understand only 3 teams being relegated from step 2 this season, which probably means Tonbridge won't be worrying about the other end of the table either!

Ex-Gull watch

Elliot Romain was a non-scoring substitute for Ebbsfleet yesterday in their 5-1 win over Tonbridge, in the NLS.

Have just seen that the fans stats site has updated their comprehensive list. If the fans can do it, then why, with all their resources can not the club.

With all the recent signings of new players and new contracts, over the last few weeks, I thought I would look at the O/S to see the make up of the squad. However, to my surprise, according to the o/s, we only have 6 players in the 1st team squad. What is the point of having an o/s, if it is so out of date?

Season Tickets 2021-22

Just seen on club website, that tickets for matches will be on sale at the ground up to an hour before k/o, subject to availability. Great news for us infrequent visitors to Plainmoor. I was a bit worried when they said cashless turnstiles would be in operation. :keepie:

Nothings guaranteed but their fans are pretty unforgiving as they will be under pressure to start the season well.

In these times , when money is scarce, I do not understand the lack of a front of shirt sponsor. Surely, someone would give us some money to advertise here.

Not bad for a forward who couldn't head a ball, or score consistently from the spot. :)
