GET Gary Owers, Martin Khul & Geoff Harrop OUT NOW

Yorkieandy wrote: 21 Jan 2018, 19:24 Does anyone else not see the logic of stopping going to games then?

Obviously CO already has the season ticket money but if all pay on the day fans didn't go and instead paid the price of the ticket into the TUST then CO has to make up this money out of his own pocket. After a while he may have to think long and hard about what he does next as he will be losing a lot more money on a regular basis. The club is still going tits up so may as well watch it going tits up from afar and give your £15 quid ticket money to the TUST instead where it may be of more benefit.

Stop buying merchandise and food and basically cut off all monetary supply lines.

This actually could be a viable strategy to force CO into making a decision about the club. The only strategy in fact.

By attending games you are making it easier for CO to pass the time. If he is still going to pass the time running the club under then at least make it cost a bit more FGS! Attending is doing absolutely nothing and has done absolutely nothing under CO's ownership other than help him pay the bills.

So so naive... a few fans not going changes nothing! Do you honestly think that CO is not already spending thousands of pounds of money from his own pocket? How do you think the club is financing?

Yes I do expect a sinister motive, and no I can not see much good from the GI involvement, but your statement is just void of fact and instead full of emotion, which in this case - is bloody useless!

Agreed, I mean Dagenham only tried him for 20 games and his return of 1 goal is exceptional...

Agreed Rob, someone needs to educate the idiots on the Popside, those that thought the challenge was fair....

Laughable.

Regardless of whether you are in the yes or no camp it’s worth remembering that we weren’t forced not a quick appointment due to KNs sudden departure . It took 4 weeks to end up where we are now with a management duo whose record so far is underwhelming to say the least.
I wasn’t at today’s game s cannot comment on whether our shape was good, our fitness improved , and desire to win evident.
But on what I saw on Tuesday and from today’s reports this will be our greatest ever escape if we can turn this around.
KN was just as bad... lesser or more of two evils, who cares, totally crap!

merse btpir wrote: 22 Nov 2017, 10:17 He looks to me like a player 'who's legs are going' and I don't think proper research was done on him by the previous manager as to why he had been left out in the cold at Grimsby for so long. Now the fact he doesn't play on 3G and he so frequently goes missing when injured or fails to recover from matches sufficiently, tells a tale.

He's 34 this week and it looks like it too!

I like his style of distribution but his seeming reluctance to stick his head in there and increasing tendency to be second to balls dropped into the near post and in the air is an easily spotted weakness that opponents appear to be aware of ~ hence the arrival of Davey (I think).

I think Efete could be a 'beast' at this level and McGinty could and should perform to much higher technical standard than was apparent under the last management and is slowly evolving now and if he does then there is a potentially 'saleable' asset there.

So fingers crossed that Efete and Davey can stay to the season's end and that some consistency and progress can be made with has the makings of a potentially very good defence regarding suitability for this league
For a young guy I thought Davey was exceptional last night. Fingers crossed!

Only seven points from safety and the team immediately above the bottom four is Leyton Orient so a big game on Saturday. Incidentally they had a player sent off tonight.
I totally agree on Gowling... he shows glimpses of a good player but then his work rate and cohesion with the team is almost void.

You may well have covered this off but am I the only person that doesn't think that 'Gowling' fits into the TUFC matchday team. I think he is singularly potentially one of the best players that we have but in our current team I find him uninspiring, he is quite slow, cumbersome and his marking is distant at times. Then we all blame the other players. Anyway just my opinion. Great win last night.

Plainmoor78 wrote: 21 Nov 2017, 12:26 The thing is many people regard seeking/accepting help as an admission that they are out of their depth. Steve Perryman used to help out at Exeter city and if my non-functioning brain serves me correctly none of the managers he helped out lasted that long.
The way this has been publicised, assuming it is genuine, can only be seen to further undermine the manager because it is frankly disrespectful. In effect Sturruck is saying to Owers in public "I can do your job better than you can".

merse btpir wrote: 20 Nov 2017, 22:26 Whilst input from such a person (as the real) Paul Sturrock would be invaluable, it should be done on a man to man basis and not via social media.

If (the real) Paul Sturrock wanted to contact Owers and Kuhl he must surely have their details amongst his multiple contacts; or if he hasn't..... then why?
I have to agree with you, bit odd that he chose this method for communicating, not as if we as fans have much say anyway :keepie:
