Views on Keating are open to conjecture but surely he must deserve to be in the starting line up.

Johnson out

As I mentioned in the past and still think its the case its very difficult to gain promotion two seasons running and I thought we would end up mid table and go for promotion the following season. We had an exceptional start and the injuries have shown the lack of depth in the squad and the new recruits not up to this level. If and when the injuries clear up I'm sure we will pick up points again and secure a mid table position but changing the manager would only give more uncertainty and could keep the present slide continuing.I think we should continue with GJ and ride the current slump out.

Seasons wishes and hopes.

Just to say to fellow supporters/sufferers a merry xmas and happy and healthy New year ahead and that the turn of the year will be a turn in our fortunes on the pitch.I'm off for a pint or three to celebrate.

I thought when we got promoted, mid table or at best the play offs would be where we'd end up this season and go for promotion next year, the way things are panning out seems the crux of it ,not easy to gain promotion in continual seasons

Keating out of all the squad seems to have been overlooked and underused overall, I'm no expert but every time I've seen him play he would be the first name on the teamsheet.Bemused!

Exactly what I expected and posted last season,I thought we would consolidate in mid table this season and the following season try for promotion, until the injuries it seemed we were a season ahead of ourselves and without such bad luck injury wise we would probably be in the top three by now. However bad luck isn't permanent and when a few injuries clear up I'm sure we'll push on again and be thereabouts for promotion come the season's end.

Chorley FC v Torquay United, 23rd November 2019

It's been an extreme run of bad luck that so many injuries have happened at the same time and all long term ,if Man City were missing De Bruyne ,Sterling etc they would struggle. It's more unfortunate as we were within striking distance of topping the league but a team doesn't become rubbish overnight and when the luck turns and we have a semblance of first team regulars return then I'm sure we'll move up the league again in time to still have an impact on this league.

Yes a good start and over years gone by with some of the downs we'd all be considered mentally unstable for supporting the club.

SG since I've been on this forum makes many valid points some of which I agree with some not but comes across as a knowledgeable guy and certainly seems completely sane to me just has his opinions which he's entitled to have.
