Wrexham v Torquay

So I was sitting in the stand with the Wrexham fans behind all my fellow gulls fan. Can honestly say it was one of the most hostile atmospheres I have had as a fan for a long long time. From the first minute there were several really aggresive angry men. I was never going to let on I was a torquay fan as honestly didn't feel safe anyway. When we scored so much stuff was thrown and I did report one guy next to me to steward who chucked him out. I really hope Wrexham are punished as the behaviour was horrendous.

Football while has undoutedly improved over the years still has a long way to go. So many angry angry people attend games, it's just a game for gods sake. Don't think it is helped by players behaviour on pitch, some pundits (Roy Keane in particular) , fan channels who push the angry person to the front and peoples acceptance that is the way to act. Nearly every other sport doesn't have the behavior you see at football matches.

On the game it didn't exactly fill me with confidence for the rest of the season. 1st half was awful even if Wrexham weren't that wonderful themselves. In the 2nd half it was better but I can only think of 2 chances the entire match. It was just long ball and long throws and hope they pay off. Thought defending was decent and Mcdonald in goal I was always confident in. Definately a point gained though and lets hope we can win the next few matches against lower sides.

Wrexham v Torquay

I did was told there was nothing they could do. If security was that much of a concern surely Wrexham should be concerned about Torquay fans buying Wrexham home tickets!

Wrexham v Torquay

New here but just tried to get a ticket for Wrexham game but apparently as I didn't register on ticket website before start of the season they won't sell me a ticket!

Luckily I just bought some very easily for the home side at Wrexham. I will have to not jump up and down when we score our 4th on Saturday.

Can someone explain why our club has this stupid policy? I have always just paid on the day for away matches but with Wrexham game being all ticket apparently this excludes me from being in the away end.

Late & Injury time goals

So been lurking for a number of years but have finnaly decided to post something! Not sure I will become a regular poster but will see

We might have conceeded more goals than average over the years in the last minute. However someone will have to do some proper analysis to figure that out.

Simple psychology does mean we remember bad events over good events and hence nearly all football fans in the land (except maybe top 5 or 6 premiership clubs) will think there club conceeds loads of last minute goals. There is also the fact that clubs that are near the bottom of the table conceed more last minute goals then clubs near the top of the table (for obvious reasons). With Torquay being nearer the bottom then the top most seasons this might explain things as well.

My guess is that when analysis is done Torquay might be only slightly above average in number of goals conceeded in last minute. My Dad thinks we do it every week but then he forgets when we do it. Don't mind doing analysis myself but not really sure where to get the data.
