Sorry to lose Jamie Reid of course. Relieved to see we've hung onto Ben Whitfield.
I'm surprised that Gary has not taken the chance to release a few more Players - under present disruptions, there might be plenty of chances to bring in improved signings in the next few months and now there'll be little space left in the squad.
Good Luck to Jamie, Kalvin and I'm sorry to see Jared Lewington go, I feel Jared could have been given more chances. Someone I talk to on another Forum, used to manage the young Reid and Lewington in the same squad, and he reckoned that Jared was by far the more talented of the two. Good luck Jared.
Who knows when the Leagues will start again ?

Corona Virus & Football
Looking forward to the day that football resumes, (next season maybe), Covid-19 will still be around. So these points from SUSD (and others) will remain important - " . . . stewards touching multiple people and that any goal celebrations by the players are non contact."
Spitting should be a 'yellow card' offence in future - (it'll be NO loss to the game). Take care all . .

Greb I'd agree with that. Most Companies have 'Business Interruption' insurance BUT it's very unlikely that this would cover a Pandemic. Just my guess but it's likely that the season is over at this level.
Take care all.

That's right P78 - Wiki shows just 23 goals in 212 League appearances and 32 in 245 in all games. By no means prolific . . . yet . . . . Good luck to him.

Dale Tonge has joined Hearts' coaching staff as Daniel Stendel is reunited with his right-hand man from Barnsley. Here's the lowdown on the 34-year-old former Rotherham and Torquay player . . .

Aggrey - I just can't agree with that. Many of our Players can score goals - maybe it's not happening recently BUT it's just up to the Manager to train and motivate the squad and send them out confident in a format that works . . . .
A new striker is always good but it doesn't compensate for the team NOT being on song.
Come on GJ - let's see your motivational/personal skills at work. Soon. Please. ATB

Jared Lewington
Most will have read this already :-
""Torquay United centre-forward Jared Lewington says he is determined to make the 'gamble' of full-time football pay off as he tries to forge a professional career at Plainmoor. The 25-year-old South Devon striker, who is about to return to action after a concussion 'protocol', has the chance to make it as a pro after a career in local amateur and regional semi-pro football. "It's anyone's dream who plays football, to be a full-time pro," said Lewington, who was an engineer before committing himself to United two months ago.""

I occasionally post TUFC stuff to a Guy on an unrelated Forum - he used to be involved in local football and 2 of his Sons were at Exeter City I believe. He knows Reidy well and is pleased to see him doing well. Yesterday he made these comments about Jared Lewington, (who may now blush if he reads this) :-
""He's a genuinely nice lad. He played for my club for a few seasons ( one of them mentioned in the article ) and was a pleasure to have around, a very talented lad with loads of ability and the right attitude. If he can stay injury free, he will be a real asset to the Gulls. Even though he's knocking on a bit for pro football nowadays, i can see him moving onwards and upwards from TUFC, he just needed the break.""

Jerry - you are correct about Kettering - they have a lively history but never quite made it to the EFL. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kettering_Town_F.C. - as you can see, Kettering are now managed by a certain Paul Cox.
Re. NL (N), surprising to see so many ex EFL Clubs but none in NL (S) . . . .

Griff you prompted me to have a look at NL(S) and NL(N) . . .
I couldn't spot any NL(S) Clubs with EFL pedigree but the NL(N) includes York City, Chester (City), Boston Utd, Darlington, Gateshead, Southport, Hereford, Kettering, Kiddersminster, and Bradford P.A. - all these Clubs ex EFL and some of long standing and note.
That's quite surprising - is the standard of football in the 'N' higher than in the 'S' or is the South the rising force at this level ?
Good luck to Josh Gowling ! Thanks.

Gary Johnson ''Armani has trained well in the last couple of days, and he will definitely be in the squad this weekend. He is one who we have missed''. Good news indeed !
