Joe Lewis - knockout signing !
“He’s a fine young man who’s very good to coach, listens to instructions and does his best to apply himself to improve every day. He was certainly one of our most improved players last season. We were aware that one or two clubs were interested in him at the back end of last season, and that was recognition for his performances. It’s great to see him go out and play men’s football in what is a very competitive league. We wish him all the very best.”

Good spot Griffin. ATB to Darren - hope it goes well.
The BBC piece fails to mention his Torquay Utd roots, 103 games before going to Doncaster for a princely GBP 62,500 !
That fee went up more than tenfold in later transfers . . .

Wishing Billy Kee all the best - he has talked of struggles with depression but who knows what this is about now ?
Again ATB to him - I much enjoyed his time at Plainmoor.
RE. Michee Efete - one that got away ? Good player.

Lavercombe has been one of 5 keepers at Wigan with Wadebridge 'Lad' Christian Walton in possession of the gloves with some distinction, over the last two seasons. Dan's chances have been limited and it's hard to know how he'd perform now . . . . I guess he'd like to return but would GJ be interested as he must have lotsa options ?

I saw Robertson in a League game at Swindon Town and wouldn't put him on my Gulls wish list either. IMO he played really well when with the Gulls but time has moved on. Good luck to him - will he get a move ? May not be easy . . .

''Jamie Ward: Northern Ireland striker leaves Nottingham Forest
Ward, 33, who joined Forest from neighbours Derby in 2015, has struggled with injuries in recent years.
He was loaned to Charlton at the start of the season, but netted just once in 11 appearances for the League One club.''

I see our favourite Ben Gerring and Ryan Clarke joined Asa Hall, Kyle Cameron and JAMIE REID in the NLS 'Team of the Season'
(On the QT, I understand that BG was enjoined on the merit of his good manners, maturity and diplomatic potential)
''Vice captain Kyle Cameron joins Joe Kizzi (Billericay Town), Anthony Straker (Bath City), and former Gulls Ben Gerring (Woking) & goalkeeper Ryan Clarke in defence. Asa Hall joins Chris Whelpdale (Chelmsford City), Nassim L’Ghoul (Welling United), and Jordan Parkes (Hemel Hempstead Town) in midfield. Jamie Reid is paired with Kabongo Tshimanga (Oxford City) up front.''

Barnes started at Paulton Rovers - that puts him in distinguished company - so did the incomparable, the one and only, Don Rogers of Swindon Town and Crystal Palace fame.

Rumours as you say. The favourite is Graham Coughlan (Bristol Rovers) followed by Ian Holloway, Gourvennac from Guinkamp and I suppose, Kevin Nancekivell and Rhyss Wilmott might be considered. I see NO talk of GJ at all. Anything can happen but GJ will stay with us I'm sure.

Why do you say that Bert ? Are you fretting about something specific ?
Management are taking a well earned rest . . it's usually pretty quiet until they return for pre-season.
Lotsa plans will be in place already and not least, to find out if we can have some of those loanees back !
You're suffering end of season 'withdrawal' symptoms - I know I am.
Can't wait for the new season . . . . which may not be all plain sailing.
Thanks to all the 'Talkers' - great stuff.
