Hi,
I’ve messaged you my son’s contact details. He’s very keen on this game, massive Torquay fan and lives within M25. Let me know if you have problems contacting him. He’s away in Germany on a football tournament at the moment, so may not respond quickly.
Thanks Steve

PLAYERS CONTRACTS FOR NEXT SEASON.
Ok fair enough, he’s been played out of position for the majority of his games. If we can somehow get rid of the others, I’ll let Donnellan stay, but no one else, we need a fresh start.

PLAYERS CONTRACTS FOR NEXT SEASON.
Hopefully full-time and hopefully the club and/or the majority of the players (or pretenders) have contract relegation termination clauses. I fear I can only dream as we will probably have them for another season or longer. Funny that - the good ones we’ve had won’t commit beyond a season but our bunch of pretenders jumped at two or criminally three year contracts, that says it all on its own. I can’t bear watching Hanson, Crowe, Marshall, McGavin or Omar ever again, even watching them keeping the bench warm would frustrate the hell out of me. They are just average / below average mid table National League South / North players. We need good to average National League players to be a strong promotion candidate. Yes to Lapsie, Jarvis, Moxey (50/50 - play/rest), Dawson and Martin plus maybe Halstead. Guessing at a joint Hall and Moxey coaching team, which is totally fine with me. Both have been there and done it and are extremely good pros and local. The rest have got us in this miss and can go and pretend to be professional footballers at another club. Don’t understand the posts on here and twitter suggesting Marshall just needs coaching and Donnellan are both ok for National League South. Pay them up and get rid they have both cost us at least 6 points in the last few games, hate to calculate how much over the full season. Feel really sorry for future coaches taking this bunch on for next season even in the National League South.

Poor quality game, but I must say that I thought the referee, David Richardson, was ok yesterday. Obviously there’s always a few calls you could question, but that’s the nature of the game. He actually walked off the pitch smiling, unlike the others who need an army of stewards shielding the torrent of flack from the supporters.

Gary Johnson, stick or twist?
knightmaregull wrote: ↑29 Nov 2022, 02:23 Whatever happens, whether we stay or or go down. Whether Gary's gone now or in years to come. I for one will always hold him in the highest esteem and in my lifetime, behind only Leroy in giving me the most enjoyable football and teams to watch. The NLS year was awesome and the Ashton Gate year quote simply got me through the depression of covid and lock down. I can't be alone in that.
I implore everyone to remember the state of the club when he came in and how, but for horrible luck with injuries, we'd have been back in the league. He's conducted himself openly and with professionalism of the like we've not had for many years.
Okay, it may well be time for a change (personally I'm not quite there yet but respect those who do). But, please please think twice before throwing around unnecessarily personal insults and attacks on the man (and Aaron). He's not defrauded us. He's not lied to us. He's given his all from day one and will be hurting as much as any of us.
Let's keep perspective and maintain a level of respect and civility that Gary's 'glory years' deserve.

Please try to make this a permanent move, even pay a transfer fee if needed. A good investment for this and next season. Plus he can then relocate his family to South Hams.

Plus a season loan for Ness too.
Then we can finally forget and leave Marshall and Omar on the bench or even better loan them out to lower league clubs.

We were indeed awful for 20 minutes or so in the second period but somehow got going again and should have won it as the ref failed to see a blatant foul in the box on Jarvis when De Silva put in a lovely cross.
We deserved more than a point over the whole game but the second half was painful to watch at times.

Hopefully we won’t see Marshall again.
Omar needs to stay as a bench player at best, no where near their player for their forth.

1. Jarvis - a good goal, lots of effort and played well
2. Goodwin - same, good goal, effort and played well
3. Moxey - as always solid, reliable and involved in forward play
4. Smith - a few mistakes but puts in a lot of effort, wants the ball and a very good footballer
5. Evans before he went off / so will give it to Martin who was just average.
Lapsie worth a mention for effort but no positive outcome, too much running around like a headless chicken.
As someone mentioned, Donnellan looked better than Marshall, when he came on, which isn’t really praising either player.
Squad too weak, subs are poor. Marshall and Omar are not good enough for a national league team, ok on the bench with Donnellan, McGavin and Hanson, who are all squad players at best. Swap them out for two new central defenders ASAP and wins / mid table will come.
I still believe in Johnson and hope he sticks with it. I really fear what / who is next, if he goes.
