Can't help but think of the capitulation at Chelmsford at the end of February. I know all the teams at the top probably had a similar experience, but those two late goals cost us dearly. A draw would at least have made us top now. That's against a team who were destined for mid table even back in February.
I suppose my point here is that slip ups happen, and could well happen next weekend........ it ain't over till it's over....

The Drama of the next 49 Days in the NLS
westbaygull wrote: 16 Apr 2025, 18:17 Medical emergencies in crowds are much more commonplace than ever before. Perhaps it's time to set regulations about matches that are suspended as clearly in the instance of the Weston game, the decision to replay was not fair

Maybe medical emergencies where for some reason the game is affected are much more commonplace, rather than medical emergencies per se.
Twenty years ago a game wouldn't usually be stopped or abandoned if somebody collapsed in the stands.
As WBG suggests, there needs to be some standard process here so everyone knows what to expect if it does happen.

The Drama of the next 49 Days in the NLS
WSM won 3-0 last night and are in great form. I think 5 wins in the last 6 games... and now in playoff places again. They could well play a part in deciding who ends up where in the top 3 given that they play Truro and Eastbourne in their final 2 games.
WSM have potential to be dark horse in the playoffs too. It's only due to a poor run of games November to January that they're not in contention for the title.
One to keep an eye on in this fascinating run in.....

Nah. Don't get bent out of shape here. I for one appreciate your presence and adds colour to the otherwise yellow only chat. Your first post above about Worthing's run-in makes good points and adds perspective.Keithsson wrote: 09 Mar 2025, 20:00 Jeez Louise you're a miserable unwelcoming and parochial bunch
Yes we do, all sorts of things are discussed, and all sorts of supporters from other clubs are both welcome and welcomed. As a Devon lad myself I'm interested in, and warmly disposed to TUFC too... the chippy passive aggression though is somewhat harder to warm to.
TUFC do not exist in an isolation bubble for these 49 remaining days of the NLS season. There are other teams involved and I figured some wider perspective might be of interest... clearly not.
I guess it's not the Torquay way, I get it now![]()

Not all flamingos are pink. None hatch pink. The flamingos that are pink, are so because of what they eat..... shrimps, larvae, algae, etc., which have high levels of beta-carotene.
