The Gulls v Gateshead (away) 9 August 2014

A disappointing performance. Briscoe had a couple of 'flashes' of skill; Ajala did a lot more than Benyon when he came on. Overall, poor defensively and had little to show for in the middle-of-the-park.

Must give Gateshead some credit too. They played well and took their chances. I think they'll be up near the top come the end of the season. Not sure if Torquay will be there - based on that performance - but we started slowly in our previous seasons in this league. So, that result does not temper my optimism of a (possible) bounceback into League Two. I guess only time will tell.

On another note, the crowd was listed as 1,700-plus. I went and I'm pretty certain that it was nowhere near that figure. To my eye, there was never 1,500 plus in their 'Main Stand'! Anyone care to disagree?

Re: Congratulations & Good Luck

Good to see some of the Shrewsbury fans come over and applaud our fans and shake hands after the game. However, shame about the little children that decided to 'goad' us. Also, I saw a coin thrown at the fans as well, by the Shrewsbury fans, which was a bit disgraceful really. Fortunately, it did not hit anyone but I would not like to say how close it got. Shame that a small minority of idiots do still exist at most clubs these days. Still, the majority of Shrewsbury fans were great and, like I say, nice to see them come over and shake hands, etc.

Re: Ticket arrangements for Shrewsbury

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if you will be able to buy tickets over the phone or is the general consensus that it will be sold out to people buying at the Box Office?
