New Blue Card

Can we have a purple card. This is where the offending player has to remove his boots and shin pads for 10 minutes . Or an orange card where for 10 minutes he can only use his weaker foot. If he uses his good foot he gets a purple card followed by blue yellow and red. Two purples = Blue, two oranges = Blue + Yellow. Although if your Dave Mckay bollox to it all.

New Blue Card

How about introducing a mystery crate at the side of the pitch. On 40 minutes a player in neutral kit enters the field of play. Nobody knows which team he is going to play for. Oh the excitement as he suddenly charges at the opposition goal or exasperation as he scores for them. As the entertainment value then subsides a crocodile replaces the mystery player (Lion for international games). What a spectacle to see Marshall wrestling with the large crocodile as Lapslie attempts to break it's legs. The score at games will soon be forgotten as a new audience of not so football oriented pack grounds and TV subscriptions. International owners and Uncle Clark happy. Who knows he may start attending.

New Blue Card

And me mate. Just another gimmick for the armchair fans. This simple game has enthralled millions for a century. Now they have to find 'entertainment' to keep the numbers subscribing. I propose that for the first 15 minutes defenders have to have their legs tied together, should she more goals. For the last 5 minutes the striker must wear a hood on his head and every other week one team will wear a large red nose and the opposition will wear large shoes instead of boots. The TV audience will increase as Man u struggle with controlling the ball and Liverpool attemp to overcome breathing difficulties caused by the large red nose. Eventually obstacles could be added to the playing area. Starting with hurdles on each goal area it could then progress to crocodiles and tigers patrolling the midfield. Millions will tune in to see if a big star gets his leg bitten of. We'll ger to see it 20000 times on VAR. As a great football manager once said, after a 1-nil scrappy win on a wet winter afternoon, if you wat to see entertainment go and watch clowns.

It'll just mean more injuries. Coming off all muscles warmed up, sat on bench then coming back on. Surefire way for muscle strains and pulls. Stupid idea. They're bloody ruining our game

I wish that is what we needed. I believe the majority of our players do run their socks off and put in real effort, Sadly, they are just not good enough. This season we have never looked like we dominate games. Shouting at them is not going to make them better players. We really need a complete shift out of the majority. The only thing is, I can see us sneaking into the last place play off place and convincing ourselves that they weren't that bad. With very few exceptions they really are the worst squad of players I have ever seen at Plainmoor and I do not enjoy watching them.

Clark Osborne/Jim Parker Interview

Sadly showing their true colours. Far more interested in acquiring Plainmoor than they ever were with the football. Every time I attend a game I am proud of our stadium. There is nothing wrong with it. Many may be fooled by the promise of a gleaming new stadium but they may be sorry when Plainmoor Avenue sits where our old ground is and we are sharing with Buckland in teir 8. Bet Mr Osborne and Co won't be around then. Probably moved on to his next 'project'.

Chippenham Away tickets

Sadly I feel exactly the same. Normally me and the Boy would be setting off for this one tomorrow but really cannot find any enthusiasm to attend. I feel a bit disloyal but after the performances away at Weston and Hereford I just cannot face another drive to watch. The drive home is so depressing. Every game is just so dour. The Boy is a bit gutted as he has a new flag. Still I've still got tickets for Taunton and Truro so I'm sure it will get an airing soon!!!

Re: Torquay United v Dover Sat 20th

Good to win but my goodness wasn't it dour. Got home and watched the Brentford game. I know the level is light years away but what would I give to see an exciting, exhilarating game like that at Plainmoor. We've had em before but not for a very long time. I truelly have to drag myself to games these days and seem to endure rather than enjoy. Sadly we are a very poor side.

Did not realise who this was until today. Truelly heartbreaking. The minutes silence today was the quietest I've ever been present at. Truelly respectful. Well done all at Plainmoor today.

Torquay United v Eastborough Sat 6 January 3 pm KO

Sadly today didn't just feel like a poor performance against a team of part-timers (many of whom were suffering cramp half way through the second half), no today felt like the demise of the whole club. Don't know whether it was the January blues but as I stood there, in the cold I honesty felt it will not be long until the club I have watched, man and boy, will not be around much longer. So hope I'm wrong and my boy keeps that light burning with his enthusiasm, but by 5 o'clock today a real chill for the future ran through me.

I think I must have been suffering hallucinations caused by distress, but I'm sure I saw a red card issued and nobody appeared to go off. Anyone else see this or should I consult a Doctor?

Torquay United v Truro City, Boxing Day 3pm.

Let's hope for a waterlogged pitch on Saturday. It'll be a great result for us if the game is called off!
