Chairmans chat

A very interesting and positive interview, but what else would you expect from a couple of TUFC supporters?

As one of them stated though, promotion is the only option this season and to think it might be anything else is just negative and nonsense!

The next General Election: who will you vote for?

Reform move into second place according to the poles, with both Labour and the Conservatives taking somewhat of a dive. Gives you hope for a little while ,but because of the way our system is set up, that's all it is, the calm before the storm.

On the bright side, Farage is now a favourite with the Russians, and they've been known to manipulate a few elections!

I think it can be said that the players we have signed have not really set the heart racing for some. There is one player who I think will come good for us, but I was wrong once before.

With Jon now in charge of the war-chest (purse?) I think things will remain somewhat slow for the moment; i.e. he's doing it correctly. I wonder if Jon has actually cracked a smile since getting the job?

The person that I'm relying on is Warnock. A phone-call to the right club and I'm thinking (maybe more like hoping) a couple of loanees coming in that will put a smile on our faces.

Song

I think you need to be more specific, but I'm guessing your referring to Labour taking over the country!

I have a song already picked out for that horrific moment, and will post it on that fateful day: the song is called - ain't that a kick in the c**t.

The next General Election: who will you vote for?

I'm trying to think of a similar situation that mirrors the Farage--Reform situation, but all I could come up with is this:

Imagine a football team that is run by someone who doesn't give a shit about the club or the people who support it. There is nothing these poor supporters can do about it because the Big Boys are running the show, and all those poor supporters can do is hope that one day someone will come along and a bright future is assured.

Starmer as we all know is going to win this election and his Big Boy policies are: Frightening!

I wonder if Pete Johnson will join Cheltenham and complete the hat-trick?

Amazingly there was actually a worse scout than Pete Johnson, but he died at the Little Big Horn.

Southampton Gull wrote: 17 Jun 2024, 18:12 Farage is from a German banking family so if you think anything would change for the better by voting for him you're short of a few picnic items. Nobody in mainstream politics will change anything. They're all signed up to support the genocide being carried out by the chosen ones and all need drowning.
No argument from me on the fate of these people, but I have seen a number of Medieval dispatches that might be more appropriate!

On my ballot paper there was also a choice of Count Binface who I think also contested the London Mayor thing. One might think that the Manifesto of Count Binface would be rather farcical compared to the main parties, but is certainly preferable to the usual pack of lies from Labour, and the nonsense from the Conservatives.

Religion & Politics, how many times have you heard that neither were to be mentioned? If it were possible to get rid of the pair, I believe the world would be a much nicer place to live!

But, there is a General Election around the corner, so I thought I would present my views.

Rishi (God help us) Starmer (God help us). So in a break from tradition I'm not going to be voting Labour  but instead am voting Reform, and indeed have already signed and posted my ballot paper.

Time for a bit of fresh air, time to get away from the smog of delusion, the cancer of woke-ism and the neighbours cats!

Vote Nigel--Vote Reform! :engflag:

I on the other hand have Great Expectations for our new Pub League player. Built like a tank, over 6' which surpasses the height of our normal CF's by about 6".

Will enhance our scoring chances from a corner by 100% so what's not to like?

I've lost count of the times supporters have said why don't we/didn't we give this or that Pub League Player a chance, and now that we have done!

Last Friday, the manager stated that the club was "selling itself" and his phone was red hot from ringing all the time, but since then we haven't had a sniff of any new signings!

Wrong choice of words maybe?
