Re: Leeds United pre season game at Plainmoor
If the leeds fans sell out there extra allocation which will then boost it to 2000 official away fans, would that be the record most away fans that has ever visited Plainmoor?

Over reaction to a joke about two murders? Are you serious? People like you do my head in. Act all cocky and funny behind the safety of your key board. Grow up.

Re: Moronic "supporters"
Good old happy friendly torquay united fans. Lets make the opposition feel welcome when they come to Plainmoor and let's sit down and be silent and respectfull at away games. Oh and while I'm here, you fans who are trying to create an atmosphere and trying to make opposition players and fans feel a bit uncomfortable when we play them... shame on you.

Re: ANTHEM
love it. But i dont think word will spread just through a forum. I think (as tin pot as this sounds) to get everyone singing the anthem (as everyone should, not just 'the singers') we should hand out lyrics to every fan who comes through the gates or mybe have it on the OS. Good idea?Gulliball wrote:Heard this again last night, really great song and with just one word changed would be ideal for us.

We'll be coming...
We'll be coming...
We'll be coming down the road...
When you hear the noise of the Yellow Army Boys,
We'll be coming down the road...
Don't know how well known it is in England (I'd never heard it before I moved here), but it's one of Scotland's biggest songs along with Flower of Scotland. I went to the Premier League Darts a few months ago and 4000 people belting out this really makes your hairs stand on end.
It's simple, easy to sing along to, and as I said, sounds great when lots of people join in. I'm sure if you look round youtube, there's hundreds of videos of it being sung.
In the youtube clip, you can see how it links in with another yellow army classic too. Never heard it sung mixed in with that before, but another option to consider.

Train to Bristol
Well... pretty much what is says on the tin really. Was thinking it be a good journey up if all us gulls who are travelling by train to get the same train together? Maybe a couple of beers and a sing song?
Let us know... like I said it would be a good journey!

Rotherham are a 1 man band and he will be off in the summer. Brizzle Rovers are up to their eyeballs in debt, Plymouth will be dead by Christmas. Who does that leave? Port vale who change their manager twice a week and Northampton who couldn't beat our under 11s without buying the referee a three bed semi in Droitwich.

Re: Support
Our vocal support was a joke. All these day trippers in the singing section not singing infuriated me. The fact we all had to move to the back of the stretford end to get some kind of atmosphere really does sum up how lame our vocal support is. Stevenage fans who were In the singing section all sang there hearts out. Why is it that it's left to 40 to 50 people to generate atmosphere for torquay games all the time. Why can't we all get behind our team? I'd rather have 2000 passionate fans singing there hearts out then people who only come for the big games.I don't want these people on a regular basis. They ruined the experience for me and a lot of other torquay fans. Rant over.
