To be honest, i always liked Danny Stevens and always will, he was good on the wing, could wip it in nicely, good scoring ability never stopped trying!
Look at benyon he was so good for us and this season he's not having the best season, but everyone just gives him credit for trying hard and not stopping. (not slating him, love him, just staying.) Thats exactly what danny was like.
I'd like to see danny stevens back in a torquay shirt, but i dont think it will happen, because no one has taken a liking to him, and we have too many midfielders on the team.
I dont think we can slate him because he was good for us, but if he was released on the first season under ling, he would of got a club without a doubt.
But becuase he was released on the second season under ling, he was injured for the majority and didnt play much, he was therefore undesirable.

Contracts?
Not sure if you already have a thread on this, but what are the current contracts, and whose run out this season?
just found this....
"There's a big set of players, 16 in all I think, out of contract at the end of the season," said Ling,

Re: New home shirt
I like c
Tbh let's face facts though g is gonna win, purely because this is Devon, and Devon equals old people, no offence but its gonna be picked by long time supporters purely because it takes them back to their day, with the then great players, but when they see it on today's players and in today's modern game, its gonna look like a simple boring white and yellow shirt, yeah c is unique, but that's what makes it good, there's no point in going with the flow and do what a lot of other teams do, stick with the same type of shirt, striped, plain, etc, our past couple of home and away kits have been unique and interesting, not including our current sh*tty away shirt, but I will be severely disappointed if we end up with g...
That will give us two tragic kits...

Re: Without us - where would you be Buckle??
at the end of the day this is football.
just because another manager moves to another club they are trators, and of course he will come back for players aswell, as he knows for a fact that they are reliable or good at there position, everyone starts someone as a manager, so i dont see everyones issue with him moving and him taking our players.
Yeah! dont get me wrong it is a shame that he left in my opinions and a damn pain in the ass that he is taking our players, but at the end of the day that happens in football

Re: Torquay Summer Transfers Thread INs and OUTs
see i think we should keep stevens, hes great he just barely plays its because hes a bit to light and cant really compete for the ball, but he has a great 1 touch and great footwork, and fast and nippy when he has the ball and is great at getting it up there.
but i think we should try to sign robinson aswell, whats the current situation with him (i.e. current contract with his parent club, his views on ~TUFC, etc...)

Re: Buckle seen in Bristol
not too sure if this has been said, but i recon torquay will offer him another contract to keep him here longer, and if this does happen,
then i recon they would offer him a very good contract with a good wage, i know this is torquay we are talking about, but im sure they will find the money, from the fa cup fund possibly?
but if torquay does renew his contract (THEY BETTER) then i recon it will have to be a good one, as other clubs want him and they obviously have the better potential, to do better and with more money etc, etc...
