I doubt this is true, if 1 in 10 were locked out then there would be a lot of angry people on here.Regiment wrote:i stayed down in a hotel overnight, and was chatting to another tufc fan there, who, along with (he reckons) 200+ others were turned away 15mins before kick off apparently, so our attendance could've broken the 2k mark.

Re: football betting tips
I've got £3 on Liverpool and Newcastle both to score at 11/10. Ba is a prolific goal scorer for the toon and you'd expect Liverpool to score at home so I thought 11/10 was a steal.

Re: League 2 : Torquay United v Swindon Town
I'm suprised nobody has mentioned how rammed plainmoor was on monday, even the yellow painted stairways were occupied and the space the stewards usually keep vacant at the end had to be used. I'm especially glad we won and the game was an exciting one as hopefully these extra fans come back again on saturday.

Re: Argyle tickets now on sale!
I'd imagine alot of people got their tickets today. We're probably pushing 1000 or so now.

Re: Argyle tickets now on sale!
600 is not bad at this stage actually. I'd imagine we'll sell at least another 400/500.

Re: Torquay fans arse-licking Argyle
Excellent post, I agree with you completely. I can't stand either of them and it really annoys me when people say things like that.hector wrote:It sickens me. Why?
There is a thread on Pasoti where a Tqy fan is saying 'like most Torquay fans I have a soft spot for Argyle.'
Pardon me. I hate Plymouth. In fact I would say it is a very small minority of Tqy fans who have a soft spot for Plymouth. Maybe less.
On Exeweb there are Tqy fans playing the sycophantic shoe-shiner to Plymouth fans...I just do not get it.
I have always disliked Exeter but there is something even more odious about Plymouth and there fans. I am enjoying there struggles and not amongst what seem to be a section of Tqy fans who want to see Plymouth do well.

This.AlexGulls wrote:"Next year you'll surport Parkway"
And in response to their inevitable chants of "whats it like to see a crowd ?", we should reply "whats it like to see a club/team ?" .

Re: Argyle tickets..
For me it's a bit of both. The club have marketed this game no more or less than any other derby game that I can remember yet this is set to be the worst attendance for a Derby game I've ever experienced. Half the population of the bay seem unaware we have a team here. The club needs to do more to generate interest in the bay. The key is advertisement.

Re: Argyle tickets..
500 tickets ?!?!? That is ridiculous! I accept we're never going to be a well supported club but it's never been this bad. What a shame for the players.
