Your wish is my command

We have the away end - for one game at least (Good friday vs accrington) . http://www.torquayunited.com/page/News/ ... 80,00.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A good move from the club in my opinion.

Re: 2nd in the table, 18th in attendances

We could potentially have around 8 teams that sell out in league1.
Bristol city/nottingham forest
Coventry
Portsmouth
Bournemouth
Yeovil
Swindon
Sheff weds/ sheff utd
Exeter
It will probably be more like 6, but even so that's a considerable amount more than this season. We may also have another decent cup run, who knows.
(obviously this depends on our (i.m.o) evens chance of going up)

Re: 2nd in the table, 18th in attendances

Well I'd imagine away capacity will be increased to around 1800 for big away followings next year, leaving 1000 seats in the Bristows bench for Torquay fans. If we managed to get promoted there will be a few teams requiring all of that 1800.

Re: 2nd in the table, 18th in attendances

Perhaps promotion this season will be the start of a whole new era for Torquay. Greater league, greater teams, greater crowds, greater interest in the bay, greater ambition. Great.

350 is pretty poor for us to be honest, would have expected around 450.

Does anyone know how many Torquay fans were present at the pirelli?

I think you answered your own query there, that and the fact that only a 5th of the ground ever gets filled.

Re: Bristol Rovers Game

I'd imagine many will be travelling down without tickets hoping to get in the popside, if my place wasn't already guaranteed, I'd probably be buying a ticket today or tomorrow, or at the latest 1pm on sat.

Boots and Laces will not be allowing away fans for this fixture.

Re: A Truly Gruelling Challenge

Thanks for the reply Louis, I can see now your topic (which i don't actually have a problem with) is not just on the main board. I highlighted it as (to me at least) it is fairly inconsequential compared to this charity event. However, as one of your mods said, it's your ship and how you choose to sail it is up to you. I think you do a brilliant job on the whole and i'm fully appreciative of the time and effort you put into the board.

Yes I have, and now of-course I realise that a competition to win a polo shirt is far more important, how silly of me.

Southampton Gull wrote:Parry, it's in the correct place. If we made an exception for this we'd end up with a Main Board full of charity threads. People do read the Popside Board as other threads clearly show. Unfortunately once someone reads a thread of this nature they rarely return.
It wouldn't though would it. Even if that was the case - this isn't just any charity thread, it's being raised for a local charity important to us all, by a fellow supporter, the least you could do is put it in the domain where it's most likely to be seen by other Torquay supporters.

Re: A Truly Gruelling Challenge

This should be moved back to the main board. Hardly anyone looks at these boards. Surely whoever the mod is must admit that more people will see this on the main board? It's for charity ffs; who cares whether its TUFC related.
