Re: Benyon - Swindon

I think we should all wish Elliot the very best of luck with the rest of his carreer.

He has been great for us, played 2nd fiddle for a season or so, didnt seem to complain, and when he got his chance did very well.

A young man trying to further his career with a bigger club and probably more money, no brainer, has to go for it when the chance is there. People who dither and dont make decisive decisions when opportunity arises wont get on.

Its happened for him and it should give every young footballer the ambition to try harder and not give up.

Well done Elliot and thanks for all the effort you have put in for the Gulls, very much appreciated!

Re: FA Cup 4th Round - Torquay United vs Crawley Town

Evans was on BBC south today. Reckons they are the only team in the BSP or league 2 that has a chance of beating Man U. He is damn right, because cheating will be the only way to beat Man U and they are the best at that.

Re: FA Cup 4th Round - Torquay United vs Crawley Town

If thats what football has become you can stick it.

Crawley are a bunch of cheats, AND DONOT DESERVE to be in the next round.

Time wasting by the golakeeper in the 1st half, and even worse in the second
Time wasting by every player in the 2nd half kicking the ball away at every opportunity
Faking injury all the time
Diving
The 2 fat cheats constantly attacking the officials, I was standing very close, every decision screaming at the linesman and 4th official to gain some advantage for the next decision
Even before the game statred the golakeeper was practicing in the goalmouth not the 2nd goal that was prepaired for that.

A cheating club who I hope draw Leyton Orient in the next round and get stuffed!

A mamager who was convicted of Fraud and should not be allowed in the game.

The officials were again not up to it!

A disgracefull club and a disgrace to football. There should be no place in football for cheats, and Crawley are the top of the league of cheats.

We all know the officials in the BSP are poor and you can see why Crawley are top

Re: crawley it is then..

A colleague said to me today.

You beat Derby in the FAcup 3rd round with a last minute goal, your a non league team and you draw Torquay Utd away in the next round!

Re: crawley it is then..

With all the history between us and Evans / Raynor this has to be a mouthwatering, nerve wracking, passion filled game that will be full of drama, excitement and pure blood and guts football. Just what a 4th round tie should be.

Think of it, 4th round of the FA cup and the media are gonna make out we are the big boys, hahaha how cool is that, how insane is that!

We got to make Plainmoor a HELL HOLE for Crawley, atmosphere, noise, and get in their faces.

CANT WAIT :)

Re: So, who do we want?

couldn't be much worse, other than being away to them.

Attendance 3500, and they are decent, be interesting to see what the bookies odds are, my guess we wont be favorites.

Totally fedup!

Re: Attendances

Well Ive been going to Plainmoor for 30+ years and the attendance we are getting now is about average.

The 1st BSP season had improved attendances and this was due in my opinion to 2 reasosns, one we were expecting to win and the other and I think this hs not been mentioned is that the teams we were playing were mostly new to us, and this was refreshing and interesting.

I fact the games i the BSP weere enjoyable I thought as well.

The economic situatio of the bay has an impact as well, it is oe of the most deprived areas i the country remember, where wages and unemployment are some of the worst.
